That seems like a really goofy show. I have never watched it before so I don’t know if it was just that one or if its always like that.
I might be wrong but it seems like the “flip flop” is him talking about two totally different things. One was the first war in iraq and the second did iraq have anything to do with 9/11? For it to be a flip you have to be talking about the same subject. Then even if he was talking about attacking iraq in the second one, it still wouldn’t be a flop because its two different wars with two different tactics.
The Bush campaign is working over time in Ohio to stop many people from voting in that state. I thought the federal court put a stop to this but, they are finding new ways to try to suppress voter turn out. This seem an odd strategy to me. I mean if they think they are right and believe the country is behind them then why stop people from voting? The way I look at it, if there is a question about a persons registration I say we should error on the side of freedom and they should be allowed to vote.
I used the moderator “edit” button instead of the “quote” button! I’m soooo sorry. I deleted a few sentences of milod’s reply.

Don’t worry about the deleted parts of my post I was able to rewrite it and I think the new version is better than the old one.
They are continuing to challenge voter registrations throughout the state especially new ones that appear to support Kerry. So when these people show up to vote in two days they might not be allowed to. There is also something about allowing poll watchers but, I did not hear the hole story so, I cant comment on that yet.
2 days left till election day
The national polls now have Kerry gaining more ground on Bush.
Here is how I think the electoral votes will look like:
Kerry will take: ME 4, VT 3, NH 4, MA,12,RI 4,CT 7, NJ 15, DE 3,MD 10,DC 3, NY 31,PA 21,IL 21,OH 20, MI 17, WI10, IA 7, WA 10,OR 7, CA 55, HI 4, NM which equals 274 (enough to win) Electoral votes but, in addition I also believe that Kerry might take Nevada 5 and Florida 27 which gives Kerry 306 Electoral Votes and wins the presidency with a clear victory. Well 2 days to see how close my prediction is.
I heard in one state they had more people registered to vote than who lived in the state. I wonder why people might have questions about some people voting.
Well that is actually a false allegation. In truth, there is no way to know exactly how many people live in any one state because, there are so many people are not counted in the census. They just picked on one state because, there was a huge increase in Democratic Registrations there. The bottom line is that the Republicans want less people voting and the Democrats what everyone to vote. Why is that? Could it be that if everyone did vote republicans would not have a chance? It is like this every election. There is just more attention to it now because of the 2000 elections. I mean give me a break. Sometimes I think the Republicans want to go back to the days when only: white, male, land owners were allowed to vote. At least that is the impression they give.
Here in Georgia they are allowing early voting. The first time it’s been allowed for presidential elections. This state is a huge Bush supporting state. I believe they also said that they are allowing people to register to vote on the day of elections, so that’ll mean more people will show up making these elections very very close.
Back to the draft topic. I heard Bush the other day on TV say that there has been a solution and that there will not be a draft. I just don’t believe him. Just two more days…
Fox news which is mostly pro bush now has Kerry ahead of Bush by 2 points this morning. What is even more important is that new polls now have Kerry with a good lead over Bush in Florida. For those who live outside the US it is very unlikely that bush can win if he losses Florida and it is even more unlikely this year because Kerry is also expected to win Ohio.

If Bush is re-elected the US keeps the terror war on the terrorist’s turf, and not in down-town manhattan.
If Kerry wins, we get to threaten Osama Bin Ladin and company with UN Sanctions for 15 years (I think, anyway. Kerry changes his mind so often I’m not really sure.)
Kerry is definitely a better debater than Bush, but presidents aren’t hired to debate, they are hired to lead. Who would you rather have leading you, someone who makes decisions and executes them, or someone who voted for the 87 billion dollars before he voted against it? If John Kerry is elected, I’m sure Jane Fonda will be proud.
All that said, I think Bush is a pathetic domestic policy president, but the issues we face today take precedence over domestic policy. After all, if we are all dead, it is going to be tough to prop up the economy and fix the environment, especially if we are killed in a nuclear blast.
I believe it was a famous European who said “Ours is a world that is governed by the aggressive use of force.” I wish that it were not so, but it is. And in closing, to quote Burke, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
Recommended movie viewing - Tears of the Sun. Or you could just go to the Sudan right now and see it in real life.
One last thing. If Kerry loses by a very narrow margin, it will be 2000 all over again.
If Bush does, he will concede graciously and not **** and moan, and drag it through the courts like Al Gore did. And then, by the way, Kerry will have my backing for four years as my president.
That is the difference between the two men. That is the difference between me and the radical leftists in this country.
I have a feeling that Kerry will win. If he does, I will be disappointed, but in a way, I will love being able to point out that difference to people.
Guess again. Bush currently has over 10 million dollars to Kerry’s 8 million to challenge votes in swing states if he looses.
I remind you that it ways Bush who brought the 2000 election into the courts to stop votes from being counted. All Gore wanted was that all votes be counted but, again we ran into the republican tradition of exclusion.
As for your previous post, I think Kerry will go after the terrorists with force not sanctions. He will go after the people who attacked us. We were not attacked by Iraq. Now the person who did attack us released a tape and (unfortunately) looking quite well. He did not look like he was on the run or hiding in some hole somewhere.
Today this site was SUSPENDED!!?? myvotingplace.org/
Great timing!!
This is a site that shows people where to vote, and voting is less than 13 hours away!!!
A court has just ruled that in Ohio the republican poll “watchers” can observe the voting process but, they may NOT challenge people at the polls and turn voters away. This would of course also apply to democrats as well but, they have no interest in stopping people from voting.
Also:
This is the second day where the news has been talking about a possible tie in the electoral vote. If that happens then the house votes the president and the senate votes in the vice president. The commentators seem to predict that the house will elect Bush ( no brainer since the house is controlled by republicans) as president but the Senate (split) would elect Edwards as VP.
Anyway, I do not think that will happen. It seems that Kerry is rising in all the polls and bush is declining. Kerry also seem to be winning among the early voters as well. I just hope that if Kerry wins it is by a good margin and if my prediction is right he will.
We will find out tomorrow.
No we just need someone who can do more than one thing at a time. I mean the war has nothing to do with Bush giving the biggest polluters permission to poison our air and water. The threat of terrorism is not the only thing that can hurt us. The environment can kill us just as easily. You do not have to choose one over the other. Previous presidents fighting tougher wars were able to do booth focus on war and domestic issues.
