Practicing having longer and more lucid LD's

I’m not sure how to ask this…

I’m on vacation and have been able to have a good number of LD’s. What I’m trying now is to get better LD’s. I want them to be longer, more stable, more vivid and I want to have a decent level of lucidity.

I’ve been experimenting with doing nothing. Usually when I go around and do fun stuff I end up waking up after a while or lose lucidity (or I just get less lucid). So now I’m trying to just stay there, looking at things, focusing my sight. I sometimes rub my hands and think (or say out loud) things like “I will stay in the dream”. I also spin and “increase lucidity!”. I think my main problem is that my LD’s are really fragile.

So is anything like this good? To get better in general, I mean, to increase the quality of all my LD’s, of my LD’ing skills. Or is focusing on the dream not good? Should I try to not think much about it and just do what I want to do?

I hope it’s not confusing… :shy:

Moved from Quest For Lucidity. :dragon:

What i do is i rub my hands or feel other parts of my body and see if it feels realistic(eww don’t be sick  ) I then shout increase lucidity or increase clearness or whatever. I look around me and focus on how real everything looks and feels. I tell myself that i will stay in the dream and i mean it! Hope i helped somewhat

Thanks, yohanover. Tha’s kinda what I do too… I guess it might need some practice :content:

Yeah, practice might be good too  . I’ll look up some more stuff for ya anyway

Just a theory by me, but when i started recording my dreams, i started remembering them more and my dreams became more vivid and real and longer. Id say keep going with dream journel and remembering dreams. During lucid dreams ill do slow breathing and ill tell my body to be more relaxed, while looking and examining my surroundings, helps keep me more lucid.

I had a couple LD’s this morning and they were… better.

I didn’t focus on the dream that much, but was able to not lose lucidity anyway… It was pretty stable, actually, while it lasted… luck maybe, not sure…
