Pretty, Pretty please tell me if this is a LD

Hi i just joined. i would like to say that i have been trying LD for ages now, really trying. Then i stopped trying so hard and i think i had a LD.so could you please read and tell me if it is a LD.OK so here goes. I was dreaming i was in a university and having a disscusion with some Philospher, and suddenly the word Lucid dream popped up. The philospher was still arguing his point about something but i was to busy thinking this is a dream, so i said “its a dream” and i was suddley in a complaicent old room and it felt so real, i walked over to the mirror looked in it and saw my reflection and remeberd that you can take reality checks. so i slowly drove my hand towards the mirror and it sunk in. i could see my hand at the other side and was amazad by the colour (different shades of blue) it gave a tingling sensation. Then like the adventurer i am, i jumped through the mirror and wow!! was the world wonderous and oppostite, this frieghtened me so i jumped out again. As soon as i jumped out i was laying in my bed, and yep it still is dream, i quickly got up and went downstairs, my mother was laying on the couch watching TV (not even paying attention to me). I walked past her and stopped and asked her a dumb question “is this a dream” she replied “Could be”. so i went to her “can you do this in a dream though” and forced hand through the mirror she laughed at me hysterically, i was startled. knowing it was a dream i ran through the wall in to the garden and saw a few people in front of the gate, i ingnored them and continued ghostin through the gate and started elevating, up down, up down. i looked back at my window and saw a man stood there he said to me “If your late its over” so i flew towards the window and as i got 5 ins away he shut but that didnt stop me as i ghosted through it. now i was sat next to him on the bed, he grabs a book and opens. it was full of my writing. he turns to me and says “your late but its ok” he slams the book shut and i awake. Thanks ever so much if you read this. could someone please tell me:

  1. is this a lucid dream.
  2. What it meant

Hi, Bradley. That definitely sounds like a lucid dream to me, so congratulations! Sometimes trying too hard can be a bad thing, so it’s a good idea to adopt a more casual mindset on the situation. Feel free to use whatever induction techniques you like before bed, but also realize that you may not have any luck on that particular night, and try not to make a big deal out of it or get depressed. The key to lucid dreaming is being calm and relaxed about–or so I’ve found. Anyway, I can’t tell you what the dream meant (you know yourself better than we do), but it sure sounded like a lucid dream to me, so you’re over the first hurdle. Be sure to ask if you have any other question, and keep us updated on your progress. :smile:

  1. Yeup, that was an LD (as Atheist), and sounds like it lasted quite a long time (a rarity amongst newbies).

well it seemed like a LD and in a pretty high state as well since you could walk through walls and stuff.

what it meant, … your mother responding to your question was probably something you imagened, as you were aware it was a dream her saying no would to you seem like a lie and would unlikely turn out as a responce unless you belive your mother to be a reckless liar, by saying mabye shes taking the more passive side but still in a way answering your question witch maybe you might have triggered due to the situation.

but i cant really think what the rest would mean.
books often are a sign of knowlege i supose and the fact that it was your hand writing could also be another issue, but you should feel certain emotions that give hints of what the dreams sometimes are trying to say
