Progessive Dream Recall?

Since I started my Dream Journal, I have been gaining a better newer Dream Recall. Lately I have been going to bed at around midnight and getting almost exactly 7 hours of sleep each night. I am at the age were my body is getting into the adult life, it’s figuring out the neccasary sleep I need every night. But well each morning I have been becoming concious while I am still dreaming and then slowly waking up. I am able to wake up and say the last words said in my dream now. Is there any way by chance that I could turn this new gain habit into a initiation for lucidness? Cause if so I would like to practice that more then WBTB or WILD, is this like MILD? And as well I have been noticing the things I read, play, eat, watch, do, see, or the people I see most in that day prior, the people I talk to most that day, animals, cars, and other living things and object end up in my dream in one way or another and play a role like fate or a book. Could I use this information to trigger lucidity and give me a chance to do a RC? I can say is I am progressing and at a fair rate, and I am enjoying this very much.

Well this is very nice improvement.

You got many things working. DR(which is most important) you are getting partially lucid and also you have your DS. Those DS that you dream from the day is also called day residue. As you said, you dream about things or people that happened/were in your day before sleep. You can use that very well to turn it into RC. I’ve also made a topic about something similar. Check it out!

It could be MILD but in general it’s DILD.

I think you should get more sleep. Studies shown that adult person should get 8 hours of sleep. Teenagers and students even more. If you wake up every day at 7 you can keep that time but get in bed little earlier, like in 10p.m. This will also give you more time to dream because at the end of the sleep cycle your REM is getting longer and you may have more time in your lucid dream. Those 2 hours are actually one sleep cycle which sometimes could mean a lot, one LD if not even more…

Good luck! :content:

I’m jealous that people actually have the time to sleep longer T_T

I can only sleep from 10 P.M. to 5:30 A.M. because I have to start getting ready for school at 6. I give myself half an hour for writing in my DJ, which has worked well so far. I can’t go to bed earlier for personal reasons.

OP: You seem to be making excellent progress! :content:

The “feeling concious just before waking up” doesn’t happen very often for me since I have to set an alarm clock. :meh:
Hopefully you can operate without one, because that’s what I’m training myself to do right now. Thankfully though, I woke up about an hour ago, right after end of one of my dreams.

Anyways, I can’t think of anything to say that wouldn’t be repeating what has already been said. Good luck! :content:

EDIT: Did I seriously just do that without noticing it? That was way too perfect XD

I’ll check into dream residue, since this has happened a lot for me now. And DILD would be something that I need to check into, I really never thought I could practice that or MILD. I am not a very relaxive person, this might be why WILD isn’t easy for me. With my sleep schedule I really have it fixed together with my brothers somewhat he wakes up at 5:30 or so and I wake up from 5 to 8 most days. And well thank you both! I feel very happy really this new stuff for me and I hope to work into it as time comes. But sadly I didnt not get the chance to practice anything this morning and lost DR pretty quick I was rolling around in my bed suposedly.I can be a very light sleeper, sometimes I anticapte things as I sleep and well this happens haha. But thank you!
