I don’t think the situation is worse than it was during the Cold War. And it’s all about selfpreservation. A country like North Korea won’t nuke the West just for the hell of it, because they know they too will be nuked the same day. Using a nuclear bomb is worldwide suicide. Besides, the odds of North Korea having nuclear missiles that could actually reach the West are in our favour.
Starting a regular war with regular missles would be a bad idea too. North Korea doesn’t have the resources for an allout war, in their best case scenario they will last years in a guerrilla-war.
Iraq? Tough question. The country itself doesn’t pose much of a threat, it’s the extremist groups that cause the damage. Should we be affraid? Not really, the odds of them attacking a western country directly or indirectly are extremely small. Most of their attacks are aimed at soldiers and the people of the country itself. Their aim is not to conquer the world, they want controll over a country and rule it their way and cut all ties to countries they think are a danger to their ideology.
I’m not saying we should just let them do as they please, but Bush handled it the wrong way. 9/11 was used as an excuse to take out a longtime enemy, not as a reason to help regions oppressed by extremist organisations.
I’m freaking out a bit… About a week after this “campaign” allegedly started… I started having a series of apocolyptic dreams. I hadn’t even read this thread yet… My most memorable dreams are as followed:
The first I was at home. All the radios and TV’s shut off. My family all stood by our sliding glass back door and looked up at the sky. Clouds were rolling in. We held hands, knowing what was coming. Then coming from the clouds, were giant killer whales “swiming/flying” throught the sky with lightning in the fog behind them. It’s a lot more horrifying than it seems. Imagine actually seeing it. THen a giant Rinocerous came flying from the clouds on a tornado and landed on us. End dream.
The second a friend of mine was shot in a field. I knelt beside them and looked up. In the distance, in every direction, at differnt distances were bright mushroom clouds. I had that inevidable sickness in my stomach knowing that it would be only time before I was in one of the next explosions.
lol ok this is interesting. Do you mean the world as you now know it or your life or everything in general. Death can mean change as well dont forget that, the death of an idea and birth of another.

Just out of curiosity I did some research into this quote and turned out some fun facts for all the family.
Cross referencing Riki and Volcano as was suggested I turned up nothing (other that something about volcano high!) so I tried volcano and 2012 and still nothing interesting turned up (other than the standard doomsday stuff) so, not one to be discouraged I cross referenced Riki with 2012.

Jon Riki Karamatsu is a Representative for the state of Hawaii, running for re-election in 2008 (I think, this crazy american political system confuses me?!?!) for a four year term, putting him in prime position to be there at the suggested time of the end of the world. He’s representative for the Waipahu-Waikele area, he’s from Pearl City, which is nicely sandwiched between the Waianae and Kodau volcanoes, so maybe that’s Riki’s soup?

Dream Characters are representations of your subconcious mind. They are part of you, and while they might be able to give you insight about yourself, there is no way they can know what’s going to happen because you don’t. The most they can do is tell you what you subconciously expect to happen.
Here is a better idea to predict the end of the world. Close your eyes and start painting dots. Than, wwhen you feel that you have painted enough, open your eyes, and start connecting some of those dots. Than run assiciations about the shape that you have received.
I think in 2012 We will change our mass thinking. We will stop having wars. Something Big will happen. The mayans belived that the world ended and restarted again. So i think in 2012 something Big will destroy most of the population. And the world will start again but not as voilent and destrutive. We will live peacefuly.
Humans are never going to be peaceful. It’s ion their nature to fight, and they’ve always done it, regardless of anything. There might be a very slight increase in peacefulness, but you haven’t even shown any evidence of why that would happen.
