Pure Coincidence or I'm Psychic?

Ok, I’m going to go all depressing and morbid on you all. Last month, I chipped my tooth IWL. No biggie, I have sensitive teeth. That night, I had a dream that the tooth actually broke in half. After that, I kept having random dreams of my teeth falling out or breaking. I’ve heard that it’s a bad omen, an omen of death. I wasn’t supersitious at the time. That Monday, my Dad rang me to tell me a friend of mine who I used to play with when my Dad visited HIS Dad’s had died from heart failure. That Wednesday, my Grandad had a fall and he died on the Friday. On Saturday I found out that my half-brother’s ex-boyfriend’s great aunt had died, and a man who lives near my Dad’s old flat was found dead. He had been dead a week before they found him. Dead when my dreams started.

Ok, by now I was thoroughly depressed, but I didn’t think the dreams were that related untill quite recently. My oldest cat fell ill. I’ve known this cat all my life, I’m 15 and she was 19. This week, on Tuesday night I had a dream about my teeth falling out again. Next morning, the Cat was dead.

Can I predict people’s deaths or was it a coincidence? I’m scared to have a dream about teeth now. Sorry for such a depressing wall of text.

this…is strange.

No-one can say for sure if you are psychic or not though, but it does seem a bit weird

I would say coincidence. Plus dreams about teeth falling out are quite common (search for the topic in the stuff dreams are made of forum) and deaths are fairly common too. You are even looking for distant links to people who died…

"On Saturday I found out that my half-brother’s ex-boyfriend’s great aunt had died, and a man who lives near my Dad’s old flat was found dead. "

I could open a daily paper and find very loose links to a lot of the deaths and so could most people.

Well you should wait until you have another dreams about teeth, it seems that according to your story, when you dream about falling teeth, a death of someone is near. So if someone close happens to die after you have another of those dreams, then I don’t think its some kind of coincidence.

I’m not sure I would connect these experiences immediately to either answer. The fact you chipped your tooth before these dreams started, could potentially have been the source for them as you no doubt have considered. Its also possible that you have developed this as a sort of feedback system. Where very deep thoughts, perhaps subconscious is a good term for them, can grab concious attention by means of these dreams. 19 is very old for a cat, perhaps subconsciously you were aware of this and/or other signs something was wrong and that invoked the dream. With the other events, it’s hard to say, it’s not like we live in a vacuum, we also have a lot of people around us, if you look at just how many there when you follow chains like, “a man who lives near my Dad’s old flat” It’s going to be a pretty shocking figure. The rate of deaths is going to be high, perhaps high enough to say its coincidental.

I also would try to avoid being troubled by this, as you evidently are. It’s not like you are actively involved in causing these things, they may be sad yes, but if you look at all the sadness in the world, you will drown.

Thanks for the replies! If anything more happens I’ll let you know I just think I’m being superstitious.

Everyone is psychic.

… When was the last time I said that? A year ago?
