Question about a possible lucid dream...

Hey guys,

I’m not really new to to forums date-wise but this is only the second time I’ve been on these forums lol. Anyway, my question is…

A while back (3 or 4 years ago) I remember a dream where I was walking outside of my house, and my RL alarm started going off and I noticed it as an incessant terrifying noise in my dream. Even smashing my alarm clock in my dream didn’t stop the noise. It was about that time that I let out a huge scream and then woke up.

Would this be considered a lucid dream? During the dream I didn’t realize that I was dreaming, but looking back at it now, I am fully aware of what happened in that dream, and I can remember it very vividly.

most normal dreams you recognise its a dream after, it has to be during to be a lucid

That explains it all, you weren’t lucid. Although you said you know what happened in the dream, and that it was vivid, you cannot call it a Lucid Dream. Normal Dreams can also be vivid and you can have the whole control over it (you can do magics and stuff), but if you do not realize you’re dreaming, it’s not a lucid dream. On the other hand, if you have a Lucid Dream, it doesn’t need to be super vivid, actually they can be blurry and boring.
