question about dream reality..?

hi everyone~ im new. i’m pretty sure i’ve had a couple lucid dreams before, but i couldnt really control them. anyway, my question. ive been reading about lucid dreaming for a while and from what i read it seems that the dreams are very realistic (in a sense of what you see, not what happens). mine arent. my dreams are blurry and fuzzy around the edges, like im watching it through a video filter. so how are the dreams supposed to be? or how are they for most of you? and when you are able to control your dream, is it realistic, like what you would see in real like (again, in terms of what you see, not what happens) ?

haa. sorry if its in the wrong place. i guess i can try to explain it better if you need me to. thnks!

in my lucid dreams ( except for one), everything was as solid and visible as real life. it’s an amazing feeling to be aware that it is all a creation of your own mind

edit :welcome: milk, welcome to the forum

:welcome: Hi! well ive only had one LD but it was the most realistic one ive had so far. I know this because people i knew were in it and i remember them, the faces in the dream were EXACTLY right down to the last detail. My normal dreams vary, from clear, to fuzzy (like im watching it on youtube  ), to a sort of a “flashback”, where i see a flash of an image or scene, and it appears clear but with a little white around the edges

Most of them are perfectly clear like in real life. But in a few of them I’ve nad had control, and its been fuzzy and distorted. So I guess it could be either

for me, there REALLY clear.Everything is in good detail but ive had some where i couldnt make out what was happening or where i was.

My dreams usualy feel real but most of the times they are too confusing and weird… I believe that dreams are always clear, but sometimes we think they are fuzzy and distorted because we can’t recall all the details.

Dreams can be a lot of things. There are a few attributes which can range from bad to good. (although it can depend on the dream which direction is good, and which is bad. )
Here are a few:
fuzz — clear
dark — light
no controll — high controll
low lucidity — high lucidity

The level of each attribute is independent of the others. That means that you can have high lucidity and low/no controll. Or high lucidity and a fuzzy dream.
If you are lucid enough, you can change the other attributes. It may take some practice, but some people have very good control over this attributes. You can even incress your lucidity.
It is common for beginers to have dreams with poor attribute levels. Don’t worry about it, keep dreaming and you can also learn to control the attributes. You also tend to get better dreams as you get better at LD’ing.

One more attribute: Vividness.
I remember one time when I WILDed I was on my couch in the dream. And I sat and waited for the dream to settle and I looked at my desk. I thought that it looked exactly the same as in real life. But I figured I couldn’t tell unless there was a significant error. It was very clear, but not that vivid. I find that vivid LDs are more joyous, almost automatically.
