Question about dreaming

I dunno if this is the right section, but here’s my question:

Do we actually dream while having fainted?

I was pretty crazy about fainting last year when one of my friends showed me how to do a self-induced faint.( I basically have fainted about 10 times using that method so far… ) I realised that each time I fainted, during the supposed unconscious period, I would start dreaming. And my friend who was observing me, and caught me just as I fell, reported that my eyelids were twitching.
I honestly dunno if that was REM…
Because if it was, then it’s the fastest way to dreaming! only 3secs or so!

I used to do that induced faint all the time when i was a kid untill i actually passed out and was in a coma for 2 days.

oh my… what technique did u use?

Mines, the breathe till u get dizzy, hold ur breath and stand up technique…

Hooray for depriving your brain of oxygen!!

it dosent really matter what method i used the point is its a VERY stupid thing to do, trust me, when i was in my coma i did not dream.

Deep sleep brainwaves resemble those of a coma state. So you can figure out there is a very small probability of having and remembering dreams during coma.

Somebody did me this “cool” thing once a long time ago and I remember I had a dream. Maybe it’s because some areas of the brain turn off, but it still runs on beta waves, since it’s a rather fast transition.

Don’t play with these things! This is no shortcut to LDs or WILD, as I doubt you’ll enter this kind of dream consciously, have time to do RCs and still have time left for fun. If you had time to do all these things, you would be in a coma right now. The brain gets irreversible damage if deprived of oxygen.

ya well… I stopped already… jus wondering y i was dreaming while i was unconscious.

It is indeed possible to dream in that state; many people have reported doing so in the past. There was actually a topic about this exact thing a year or two ago, but I can’t seem to find the link.

It is also true, however, as many have said, that it is an absolutely terrible idea. It is very possible to severely damage your brain doing things like this. Your brain cells need oxygen to survive; without it, they die. :rip:
