my dreams aren’t very vivid. i have the occasional dream that feels real, but most of the time, my dreams just feel like day dreams that i can’t control. i don’t even think i see stuff most of the time in my dreams. it feels like my mind just thinks of stuff and then i imply that i saw something when i wake up in the morning. is this normal to have such bland dreams all the time and would they hinder the ability to have a lucid dream in any way? because i just can’t see how it’s possible that everything would feel like the waking life if i became lucid in my dreams unless everything’s magnified like a million times when you become lucid. thanks in advance.
no they wouldnt hinder it
just try to daydream about having more control/realistic dreams, and you’ll implement it (read up about autosuggestion)
if its any consellation, the amount of literature, studies and people interested in lucid dreaming must mean -something- good is going on.
i can personally assure you with proper control and motivation, lucid dreams can be -more- realistic than nature.
yeah, i believe that lucid dreams are possible. it’s just i don’t know if my natural dreams are what they should be. i hear people talk about how detailed their dreams are and mine are just like “mehhhh.”
no matter what the quality of your normal dreams - when you become lucid, you will be able to increase the quality of them. So with practice your LDs should become as clear as waking life if not better.
I would love to see what is more clear than waking life
You could see farther, perhaps have a better sense of smell or touch, maybe be able to taste more vividly. That would be completely amazing.
Yeah I can imagine. Except the touching part , I can’t think how can we have a better sense of touching.
augustus_gloop, I’ve the feeling that writing a dream journal may enhance the vividness of dreams. I think they become more clear, logical and detailed. Just a feeling though.
ok thanks
And the best side you can read them later and compare with other.
