I am finding that I increasingly seem to be recalling real facts in my dreams. I find can remember peoples’ birthdays, my actual weight etc.
I had a dream two days ago where I was talking to my eldest sister who had a bag of toys and things from when we were little. She pulled out a photograph and I recognised it instantly as a boy § who was at a house she visited about 20 years ago. She went there with my mum. I was telling her how when she was there, my Dad painted a kitchen cupboard and we made toffee together.
Sometimes I even recall dreams which I have had in the past (completely unaware of the fact that I am dreaming, of course!).
Does anyone else get real life memories surfacing in dreams? Anyone out there know why or how these memories are being recalled?
I haven’t expereinced this, but…
Everything that happens to you and everything you learn is permantly imprinted into your memory (every little thing - such as the weather of a certain day). Unfortunatly, there’s so much data flowign around in there you can’t possible recall all of it (and thus, you forget something - even though it is possible to remember it later on).
when you’re asleep, your conciousness is asleep also. You’ll have less running around in your head, meaning that you’ll find it easier to remember your memories than if you were awake.
