Reality Checks and other questions :) [Need Help]

Hello ! I need help :help: with my RC’s… I do them about every 10 or 20 minutes, but I make them randomly… Just when I remember to do them, I do them… I’m making about 15-20 reality checks per day (or more, idk :happy: )… So my question is:
“Can I do them randomly ?”
and also:
“If I make MILD with this mantra - |The next time when I am dreaming, I will look at my hands…| or |I’m dreaming| ?” :peek:

Please, I really want to have my first lucid dream… I have a DJ, I can’t sleep fast :cry: , but I’m with high motivation :cool: , so I think that my method must be MILD + WILD + WBTB … So any help :confused: ?

Hey! I have no much experience but i can tell you what helps for me.
First of all, i read that it is important that the RC’s you’re doing are with much quality.
So do not the whole day a quick RC, But do it about 4 times a day with much attention.
RC’s are good to use sometimes, but a DJ is more important. Write in your DJ so much as possible and don’t give up with it! Dream recall is THE way to get a LD. If you remember how it was like when you had a LD, the next time you dreaming your brain reconize the feeling you had before, the thing you do then is a RC and then you know your dreaming.

Oh, and i prefer the second mantra.And i think that WILD is too hard and frustrating so i would use MILD + WBTB What also works for me is the EFT method. here a link youtube.com/watch?v=X4EDgTc0AyQ

Well like skwozz, i don’t have much expirience, but i do know that RCs should’t be random. If you do them randomly you fail to create a pattern. You should try to link your RCs to stuff you frequently do, feel, see, hear, etc in waking life and in your dreams. For example you can RC when ever you are about to eat. Also it is good to RC when ever you feel something is out of place. Like when you see something amazing or just something that doesn’t feel right. I think you kind of get the point :razz: It has to be something that can transcend from your waking life to your dreams.

Regarding the sleeping problem, you might find “alternate nostril breathing” interesting.
there is a technique qhere you cover your right nostril and breath only thought your left nostril, and it is supposed to help you relax.I just read about this yesterday, but it seems possible. I tried it last night and don’t recall been awake for more than 10 to 15 minutes. You might like to read it :razz: or even try it if you feel like it hehe.

tbh, I had my first LD the day after reading about it, I was Very into it at first, like its all Im thinking about. I think you can have it soon if you have the enthusiasm.

I also do my RC randomly, basically whenever I remember it, because I don’t really have easy dream signs. That works fine as I do RC in my dreams as well, I think if it becomes your habit you will do it in your dream eventually. You have to really question yourself when you are doing your RC tho, not just an automatic action.
