Reality checks as a habit works for me

I have very poor prospective memory skills, I mentioned this in a previous post. What seems to work for me is to rely on habits I create during the day that transform to an automatic RC when I am dreaming. An example is; my dreams usually have people I dont know, so during the day anytime I see a stranger I do a RC. This many times transforms to doing a RC during my dreams.
So, creating a habit is much easier for me than using prospective memory as a way to become lucid.
I would like to here from others regarding doing it this way.

Definitely a good way to use RC’s. I, for example, commonly find myself looking for things or acting strange in LD’s, so if I start doing these things, I RC. When I see anything just a bit out of the ordinary IRL, actually, I usually RC, and it’s definitely been a great standalone technique.

Of course, prospective memory is probably useful as well. For example, whenever I enter school, I RC, because I have dreams about school a lot.
