In most of my dreams, when I become lucid, it is easy to stay in the dream, and move around. However, in the past three or four lucid dreams, whenever I become lucid, I quickly start to get sucked out of the dream, and into waking life. I usually stop this by surrendering to the dream, but then I lose lucidity. What is the problem here, and how can I fix it?
Sometimes you start losing lucidity because you are too excited.
When you feel you are losing it, try using as many senses as you can. Rub your hands, spin around or do something that really puts you into the move.
I would suggest not to surrender to the dream. You could try eating lucid pills or drinking lucid juice (or whatever it is).
You can also try yelling “Lucidity x1000!”
Those are just a few things you can do to increase your lucidity. Good luck!
I find one of the most useful techniques can be to concentrate on the sensation of touch.
Touch the grass, and feel it’s texture. Touch a brick wall, touch a tree, and really feel the textures. This always helps me to stabilise a visualisation or lucid dream, and to maintain the scenario for a longer duration of time.
Oooh… I’ve been having a similar problem. I’ve woken up from overexcitement, but this feels different. I use WBTB over the weekend, and each time I get back to sleep and get lucid, I start to walk around and explore the dreamscape I’m in, but it feels sort of like my body isn’t all the way in SP (I can feel what I think are my RL legs moving). Usually after this happens, I fall over involuntarily and jerk into the position I’m sleeping in, and wake up. Suggestions? I’ve tried spinning, and it didn’t really seem to help all that much…
A suggestion: if you wake up - go back to sleep right away and picture in your mind the dream you were just in… you may be able to get back into the dream and become Lucid again! … I’ve managed to do this successfully in the past …
oh. and… try imagining swallowing/taking a lucid pill (as
MaximumLD said above)… it doesn’t matter what it looks like… basically its just a confidence boost so you can stay in your dream rather then “worry” yourself out of it… for me, I’ve always lost my LD because I panicked (believed I would leave the dream).
I’ve had some similiar problems recently. I saw a suggestion elsewhere to create a talisman or some sort of object that you can hold or wear that will keep your mind focused on the dream. My next goal is make one of my own
I’ve tried the hand rubbing, spinning, lucid cola, lucid vitamins, etc. I think it just comes down to finding what works best for you.
gl with your lucid adventures!@!@
Hmmm… last time I tried to take a lucid pill didn’t work very well. I tried to reach into my pocket for one, but all of the sudden I was wearing gym shorts . What’s up with that?
Lucid Pills? Pff. I took an overdosis of them in my dream, no effect. lol
