Recently i have had the same dream a couple of times,
this is how the dream goes.my boyfriend and myself decide to get married secretly and when his best friend(who is female) find out she chases us with a knife …she calls me for everything and then stabs my new husband,but i dont see if he dies as i always wake up. anyone any ideas what this is all about.i dont usually dream about such nasty things.hope someone can analyse this one.thanks for reading…Diane

but if it was my dream…
it would be insecurities coming out in the dream about the friednship between my boyfriend and his best friend. may be a little doubt about hte other females feeling towards him. had she been secretly hoping for more?
also the meaning could vary if the events are loosely based on real life or not.
it could be about feeling uneasy about keeping something a secret from someone who trusts you.
the knife stabbing could represent the abrupt ending of something in your life or a fear something could be taken from you.

I don’t know a whole lot about recurring dreams but I do know that lucid dreaming can be used to stop them. My first lucid dream was random, long before I read about LDing, and I used it to stop unpleasant recurring nightmares I’d been having.
The content of dreams often depends on your personal experience and mind, and the same goes for their meaning.
But moogle’s gotten pretty close to it, that’s what I would have said too. Always keeping in mind what I said above.
