I once posted (or maybe a few times) how I read over a play once in real life and in a dream studied it and remembered the whole thing perfectly when I woke up. That was one of my most incredible dreaming moments. It just proves how the mind powerful the mind is and how much you’re really taking in without realizing it.
Something even more incredible was that night I played a piece in D minor and remembered the note D when I woke up. I remembered it for days. It had such a profound effect on me that I decided to consciously remember the rest of the notes in my dreams. This has given me Perfect Pitch. Or Imperfect, as I like to call it, since it needs to be “refreshed” every so often. And a lot of musicians say it’s impossible to truly achieve that without being born with it. Well, HA!
Anyway, it happened again. I had a dream of a cookie recipe. I had only made it once in real life. I had the dream that very night and there I read the same recipe and remembered it in the morning.
Certainly not as impressive as the last two incidents but it’s still amazes me.
Does anyone else have any experience of using dreams to remember things? Or have you ever had a dream where you remember something you couldn’t remember in real life or didn’t pay attention to?
