Since I’ve started working on my dream recall, I’ve started remembering dreams I had a long time ago, sometimes dreams from two moths, but also dream from as much as years ago!
I was just wondering if it happened to some of you too…
Hmm, dreams from years ago? That IS something. Although, if you didn’t remember the dreams originally, how do you know they’re that old?
EDIT: Okay, stupid question. But that’s the first thing that came to mind.
The only really old dreams I remember are ones that stuck with me cause they had some great impact or meaning. I can also read my DJ from five or six years ago and fully remember those dreams. But then there are some that I had only a year ago and I can’t recall them at all. I guess it mainly has to do with a person’s memory and how equipped they are at reaching into the folds of their cerebral cortex. (Ooh, weird imagery there.) Do you have a great long-term memory, cause that could be the clue right there as to why you have this capability.
Yes I remember dreams from a long time ago. Your memories are there it is just a mater of triggering them. I don’t remember every dream I ever had ( without looking in my DJ ) but I still remember quite a few of my LD’s and even some ND.

I remembered my first lucid dream I ever had yesterday!
It must have been from when I was about 4 or 5
it was only small, but it was so real I thought I could do what I did in RL (remember I was young)
In the dream I stood at the top of my stairs in a dressing gown, I took a card out of a lapel pocket and proceeded to float down the stairs till I was at the bottom.
I truly believed I could do it when I woke up…

hum… I don’t have any proofs that those dreams are years old. Its just that they seems old. Kinda when you remember something that you have not thought about for a long time, there’s some old feeling to it… Hard to explain. Its just that I remember dreams I didn’t even remembered the morning after I had them, or at least I don’t remember remembering this dream until now, heh. and yes, my friends tell me I have a good long term memory. I never forget something about someone, to the dread of many of my friends 
When I was younger I remember having these reccuring nightmare-y dreams about these ghosts. Then one night I just made friends with them and they took me up to a room above my ceiling (doesnt exist in rl) to have a tea party… (kind of influenced by Mary Poppins there I think, lol)
Never had a nightmare since… 
If you knew you were dreaming (and it doesn’t sound like it) it was a lucid dream. Otherwise, it wasn’t. Even if you could float down stairs. 
I have the occasional old dream re-emerge from memory sometimes without reason
of course the vivid and intense ones I can never forget, like flying as a bird in formation, realizing I can fly if I concentrate, and other unusual experiences
