In the past few days I have realized I was dreaming, but I’ve really had trouble getting it to the full extent of an LD. Last night I had a dream I was being chased through a mountain and I was grabbing on to all these brightly colored rocks, and I realized I was dreaming, but I still acted like I wasn’t in control. I continued to run, and nothing really got more vivid (except I do remember the colored rocks). It was almost as if I was oblivious to my options, even though I knew I had the opportunity to become lucid. I’m wondering if anyone can help me to get to the state of a full LD.
Your problem is due to your low lucidity level. That’s why you continue to act with the flow of the dream. You have to increase you lucidity. This can be done through many ways. Generally you have to perform, as soon as you realize you’re dreaming, an action that you planed to do IRL. Good and simple tips are:
shouting a verbal command like “Increase lucidity!”
I had problem like that. The point was like i didnt want to become lucid. It was like: " Hey! This is a dream! But if i get lucid i wake up. So better i dont get lucid". Second time, in same dream : “It’s a dream. No , it cant be. It must be my HI” . I cant realize how mad i was when i woked up. I have to remember that firstly in dream i have to command “Increase lucidicy!”
Thanks for your help! I had written the earlier post during the waking up period of my WBTB technique and I went back to bed and had a dream with even greater lucidity and it was extremely successful! I could even hear things going on in RL and could remember not to wake up because of them. I’m sure with these suggestions I will soon be able to go even further. Thanks!!
