Scene Change'd!

I had another LD last night, and it was fantastic.
but the way that I have lost my lucidity in all of my LD’s so far is a random scene change to something believable that completely tricks me.
So any tips on how to combat scene change?

oh btw, totally chained last night for the first time

can’t you add a giant image of a black sheep to the sky or something?

not that I’ve had an LD

well if youre tricked by a scene change after you are lucid, then your lucidity was not high enough. After you get more experienced this will be avoided

Increase lucidity the first thing you do. Hopefully you will be clearheaded enough to remember that such tricks are to be expected and not fall for it. Visualize the scenario while awake so you have a mental model of the situation. Could help. I don’t know if trying to combat scene change is the way to go. You should be able to keep your lucidity even though the dream seems completely realistic. But in fact, a sudden change of scenery is not realistic, so it can be used as a dream sign.

Lucidity is not dependent on the context (ie. the dream around you), it is more a sort of awareness to what’s happening around you, so if there was a scene change, and you were lucid, you would notice the transition, or at least remember you were lucid 2 seconds ago.
What I’m saying is, make lucidity more like a state of being, an inner awareness, instead of just a passing realization. This way no scene change will trick you.
Oh, and congrats for the chain :content:
