Searching for Subconscious

Last night was undoubtedly the longest LD chain i’ve had so far, perhaps even the most vivid. My goal? To meet my SC again, and simply ask her name. (As far as I can tell, SCs tend to be the opposite gender in most cases) So that I have something more specific to call for when I have questions.

I’ll cut a long story short by saying I had no luck. I DEILD 4 or 5 times in the night, and each time I searched and summoned to no avail. As if she was avoiding me.

And now this morning I feel… Odd… I know i’m not dreaming because my RCs pass, yet I still feel kinda surreal. I also feel a great disappointment by not being able to complete my goal last night, yet am still determined.

I have met my SC before, I just cannot remember how, and the meeting was rather short.

So, apart from searching and trying to summon her, do you have any other ideas?

HandTrick: isn’t the result you’ve gotten tonight already meaningful in its way? It doesn’t need to be the end of your journey, but I wouldn’t consider a night full of attempts followed by a day with a change in waking-life perception a failure. You’ve constructed her. She’s present. She is doing something, because something’s at play here: she’s hiding.

You’re not in the same situation as you were yesterday. Consider what changed, and change your strategy. :yes: First thing that came to my mind was to set up traps but… She’s your double. I not only don’t like the idea of trapping your unconscious (what symbolical good can come from this!), I also think that would make her even more fleeting. Plus, she’s you, she knows.

I’d play my next cards in waking life. She’s a part of your life. She’s integrated into you. You can’t completely treat her like some separate entity. So do something in waking life to provoke her, and see what dreams that incubates. Have normal dreams first, use them as a compass to guide you to your next lucid quest for your subconscious.

I’ve called out to my DG (same thing, I guess :tongue: ) and he/she/it simply wouldn’t come. I gave a break and tried again, a few times. One night she simply appeared. I don’t think it means you’re doing something wrong… what bruno suggested sounds pretty good.

And I get that feeling a little bit after I’ve been a (relatively) long time in a LD or after many chains. I kinda like it lol! It’s like a living effect that reminds you you were lucid dreaming a lot :grin:
