Yesterday I was quite sick with a bad cold. I took some NyQuil before going to bed and went off to sleep. Despite the medicine, that was a very, very long night. Not only were my dreams incredibly strange, but also I would find myself thrashing about in my bed right after exiting a dream where I was doing the same thing. My guess is that SP doesn’t work so well when you’re sick. Anyways, share your experiences.
Whenever I’m sick, I get extremely vivid and non-coherent dreams…The colors are also waaay messed up (ex.: A blue man with skin-colored eyes and tongue)
Recently, I had a fever and a lot of pain from a disease, and the pain and heat were present in my dream, the fever influenced it.
My dreams when I sick tend to be dark and violent.
REM phase of sleep is regenerative.
If you’re sick, you need to regenerate more…
1+1=2
I am sick right now, and if I lie down, within miniutes I am dreaming. It is incredible!
I only sleep during the day if I’m sick, so that could have something to do with it, but I had my first really successful lucid dream when I was sick. Otherwise my sick dreams (fever dreams, generally) tend to make even less sense than usual. I remember one where I was running through a maze made of legos and the directions kept changing. (Up would be come forward, left would be right, back would be down) I also vaguely remember one where Bart Simpson kept insisting that he was Jesus, saying, “I’m Jesus, man!” (I was utterly confused.)
Hmm… Maybe i won’t wear my jacket when I go out tomorrow. I don’t mind having a little cold, especially if I can have a few LDs because of it
