Being that sleeping under anesthesics is a drug induced dream (and a pretty heavy one), most of us don’t remember any dream or even having slept at all during such procedures, just closing our eyes in the operation theathre and then opening in the hospital bed with huge heavyness in our heads. I had nose surgery when I was 14 and for me it was just as I previously told, no dreams, no sleep sensation, nothing atall. Even when my mum says I sat down on the bed when they brought me back AND THEN fell to sleep face down, risking the surgery, I remember nothing of this – let alone having had any kind of dreams that night. In my experience, the best dreams are the ones naturally induced, out of all the medications ive had theres only ONE with wich ive been sent to sleep and actually had a dream that was enjoyable, and that one is the muscle relaxants ive been on for over a week due to massive contractions on my back. Anything else that might induce sleep on me - anesthesics, sleeping pills and even pills for allergies - givs me such a heavy and disturbing sleep that it simply isnt enjoyable at all, infact theonly dream I remember having had under sleeping pills was a really unpleasant one (I had been put under sleeping pills after having lost my best friend on xmas day, I took the pills the night after his burial and I dreamed of that traumatic day, so it wasnt nice atall). In the end, I do not recommend trying to sleep or dream under any chemicals, natural sleep is always the best kind of sleep
let’s keep on topic … this topic is about anesthesia during surgery not tablets and pills etc
