sleep n' restore

I was looking for that Sleep Naturally pill, but the best I could find is Sleep N’ Restore, which seems similar. It’s got Vitamin E, Calcium, Melatonin, Valerian Root, Glutamine, Grape Seed Extract.

My results so far are very poor. Not only did I have very little dream recall (worst I’ve had in weeks), but I did not have restful sleep at all, I only slept about 3 hours, then woke up couldn’t get back to sleep for almost 3 hours, and slept another hour or two unrestfully.

I did get up in the middle of the night and take a headache pill (excedrin, which includes caffeine). So maybe that had to do with my inability to get back to sleep. BUT, last night I woke up on took 2 of the excedrins in the middle of the night and still slept like a baby.

I also suppose it’s possible the two pills interacted for a crappy night’s sleep.

I will keep trying, and after a week and a half I finally seem to be kicking this headache as well so that should help. I’ll let you know if I have any better luck with sleep n restore next week. I’m also considering getting a b6 pill to go with it since that seems to be the main ingredient missing (that Sleep Naturally has).

Has anyone else tried this pill or something similar?

I am almost positive that the Valerian Root is the cause for your poor dream recall.

I thought Valerian Root was supposed to be GOOD for dreams. It’s bad?

In my experience, valerian root causes vivid dreams, which depnding on the person can either help them LD, or just make them have trippy dream, both of which are fun. So in that sense, valerian can be good for dreams, but here’s the kicker; valerian always drastically reduces my dream recall, so I end up remembering small amounts of cool, trippy dreams. IMO, it is not worth sacraficing a healthy dream recall to remember naught but a few seconds of super weird, cool dreams.

I tried the pill for the 2nd time and had a pretty ‘normal’ dream night. No lucidity, but fair dream recall. Nothing too interesting or weird in my dreams.

But, I’m going on less than 5 hours sleep each of the last 2 nights, so I was due for a LONG sleep time anyway. I went to bed about midnight last night, it’s now 11, I’ve woken up twice to write down dreams but I’m also gonna go back to bed right now I think.
