Sleep Sex?

Sorry for creating yet another sex topic here

I question the credibility of this. Not because I don’t believe “sleep sex” is possible, but because of the explanation they gave.

I thought sleep walking and stuff could only happen during N-REM, the stage after and before REM sleep. In that stage, you don’t have any dreams you can remember.

They’re saying that this is happening during REM, and that they have a disorder where they can move during this stage.

Anyone want to shed a little light on this?

i think it’s totally possible, but the case they use almost sounds fake. i think it would be more likely with people sleeping near each other. like when people dream that theyre taking a piss in a toilet, and they wake up because theyre wetting the bed. :cool_laugh:
they talk about how you can be acting out things in your dreams. i’ve done this in a dream where i was running, i woke up and i was moving my arms like i was trying to run.
maybe it depends on how much of a connection you have between your subconcious mind and your body.

Damn it…looks like even when going to sleep one should be wearing condoms:)

ehh even if it is real i think a person would wake up before they are penetrated.

I remember a story about a guy who killed a person whilst in the sleep walking state.

He managed to get in the car and drive all the way to her house and knife her. He awoke later while in his car, with no idea how he got there, covered in blood. He drove to his work place and stumbled in. He said to his co-workers “I think I just killed someone”.

He turned himself into the police, who were, of course, sure he had done it on purpose.

They did a lie detector test. It seemed that he had killed her without knowing what he was doing.

Some detectives did some sleuthing. They found out this person’s wife heard him making strange sounds every night in the kitchen. Kind of like grumbling, snarfling noises. They also learned of a pattern that had been happening, where he would get up suddenly during the night, then return after a couple hours.

Going on a hunch, they got a sleep specialist. They found out that he was spending over 3 times the amount than normal sleeping in the state that allows one to sleepwalk.

After putting all of the evidence together, they found that he had, indeed, killed this person in a sleepwalking state.

So I do believe that this is possible. It’s just that I question these “experts”. I’ve heard over and over on these forums that it’s impossible to sleepwalk in the REM state, the state of dreaming and LDing. Yet, they claim that that is the state this happens in.

If what they claimed were true, we’d have to worry about acting out our LDs, but we don’t because we have SP during REM, even if we sleep walk during the “deep sleep” stage.

i read somewhere else where this is totaly posible…

Well i have read that sleep walking actually does occur during dream time. the people that just sleep walk lack the chemical that keeps us from acting out our dreams during REM.

What I’ve always wandered about, is how the sleep walkers manage to not walk into anything (walls), open doors and all that. Their eyes are closed, aren’t they?

No, they actually are open.

ROFL… just imagine it… :content:

Really? Well, you learn something new everyday ^_^.
