okaaaaay…
ive been really frustrated because when i use the wbtb method, i sometimes cant go back to sleep. i try mild but the mantra keeps me awake and my mind wanders and wanders.
i say ‘okay, since i cant go to sleep ill try wild’ but then i notice i cant concentrate on wild because im too tired
im doing everything right i think. this has only been happening in the past week. any ideas?
Hm, maybe it´s just not the method for you. Try other things, maybe not just directly inducing methods but stuff you can try throughout the day as well, such as

Make it a habit to have frequent reality checks. If you tend to forget, “mark” places in your room / house you pass often with a post it that reads “reality check” or just a red dot that will remind you of doing a reality check whenever you see it.

when you fall asleep tell yourself that you will have a lucid dream. If you don´t manage to stay focussed during WILD don´t grow frustrated. Happens to me as well, I have only very rare occasions when WILD really works.

Instead of WBTB try not to get up if that gets you into trouble to fall asleep again. Set your alarm clock, then switch it off and turn around focussing your thoughts on LDing or trying so while falling back asleep. Falling asleep might be easier for you that way than after having been up for a while.
