Sleeping problems and napping

Hi there LD4all-ers. I haven’t posted for a long time. A few months ago, I took a break from lucid dreaming as I wasn’t getting enough sleep, which affected my dream recall. Well, now I’m back. But I’m still facing the same problem. So I’d like to ask you fellow lucid dreamers for help.

You see, I have a hard time trying to fall asleep. I try to go to bed at 10 pm everyday but I take a long time to sleep, like taking one hour or more. :help: Sometimes even if I do get to fall asleep by 11 pm, I have to wake up as early as 6 am for school. This leaves me with only about 7 hours to sleep on weekdays, just sufficient for LDing, I guess. And I still haven’t mentioned the time needed to wake up in the middle of the night to recall my dreams or perform induction methods such as MILD or WILD. Has anyone got any idea how I’m able to get more sleep? Does anyone here have any sleeping problems?Any tips to fall asleep faster?

Yeah, I forgot to mention I also take afternoon naps every day, maybe 1 hour or so. I heard napping in the afternoon is mostly rem sleep. I wonder if sleeping in the evening can in some way contribute to the number of hours I sleep at night? So instead of 7 hours, I get to sleep 8 hours a day? Is it okay if I practise induction methods in the afternoon rather than at night so I can sleep more? Thanks!

Sorry if I seem really desperate or if I’m too obsessed about the lack of sleep or if I’m worrying too much. I really love lucid dreaming. Thanks for reading!!!
