Some thoughts & questions

Recenty ive layed off the hobbits pipe weed * and i know this very obvious to you all but yes, my dreams have been becoming so much more real and intense. last night for example i felt great fear and desperation as i was struggling to outrun a high tide of waves that was forcing me off the left side of the berm i was on… it was great, and so much more happened that night! on top of that many things in the dream seemed to be the same as older dreams ive had, i hope i feel the reoccourance in dreams to come instead of just WL.

if you smoke or drink, just know your sacrificing your LDs to a degree.

also, question- if you wear glasses (which i do) can i, in WL take them off to see if i can see or not for a reality check? should my vision always be clear in a dream? because that would be a great RC.

I’ve glasses as well, and it would make sense that you could take them off and still have clear vision. Another thought, if you’re in the dream, you may not even have your glasses, and still be able to see clearly. I can’t remember a time in a dream where I was wearing glasses, so I suppose getting used to the feeling of glasses well enough may be a good solution, much like how some people get used to the permanent feel of gravity, and the lack thereof in a dream alerts them to the fact that it isn’t reality.

yea cool, im going to start using my glasses as a RC because i never notice them in dreams either.

The point of most RC is always expectation, so you have to expect to still see fine when you take them off. You gotta believe it could be a dream first, or the point of the RC is moot.

@ Tosxychor, I never really understood that theory you explained to me a while back UNTIL i had the LD, so thanks, I think dreaming WITHOUT the expectation would have made it null!! Believing that I believe made my LD possible

@ Cabinfever

I did do a Quote TWICE and lost it THREE times, ( work that 1 out ), then got my hair off and quit yes i’m a quitter:)
[/quote]

but, in reference to your quote about drinking lessens your LD experience… I had my first LD after drinking nearly a whole bottle of Lambrini lol

@ tosxychor, i forgot to add that i was referring to the RC’s Gosh, I had way too much sleep last night !! Sorry  !xx

Hahaha, no problem! I understood just fine :content: And congrats for that LD ^^

thats an odd happening Stormrush…maybe alchohol doesnt affect as much.

@tosxy - so because of expecting to see blurry in a dream, it may actually happen and the RC will be foiled? thats alot of unknowing will to alter my dream so completely… i hope i can learn that when lucid.

Most of my vivid ND’s have been when intoxicated hahaaa but myself do not want that habit lol, so sticking to Pepsi Max at the Mo

haha, the hobbits weed really takes it from me tho, maybe not so much booze…thats more of a physical thing than mental.

That’s actually the root of dream control, the simple expectation. So yeah, it would become blurry if you thought it would, just like many people fail their hand RC because they keep expecting the finger won’t go through like it doesn’t IWL.

Also, I’ll repeat myself, the entire point of the RC is doubting reality, not the gesture itself. So if you ever let it become an automated gesture, that can’t even be called a RC anymore.

And we have complete control over our dreams, at all times. Who else should, or would? It can’t be anyone but us. So no wonder if such changes can be issued by just a flick of expectation

Thanks! I guess it takes time to feel greater expectations in WL, but this should get better as we explore the dreamworld and see how tangible it is to be dreaming at all times.

About the glasses RC, I tried using glasses once and saw no difference at all  everything looked just like as if I didnt wear those glasses

but thats the point, if things look the same without them and with em than thats the LD cue.

You misunderstood me, I mean that happened to me IRL, since my eyes adjust to whatever modifies the vision

ohh, yea your vision might not be bad enough for this… mine is lol. although i can focus on things without them, making them clearer.
