Someone please help me!!

If u read this, please try and help me by answering my question at the bottom, I would really like to know what I experienced smile

Last night I was trying WILD. The thought of meditating crossed my minds. I lyed in bed, closed my eyes and put my finger and my thumb together. I don’t know anything about meditating but I believe that process will give u new fresh energy(correct me if i’m wrong ^^ ) Anyway, after a while I felt that I had lost the feeling in my hands, it felt almost like they were floating 5-10cm above the bed. I tried koncentrating on getting my whole body to feel that way. I began with my arms and I kind of talked myself in to that they were floating, just like my hands. This was much harder but I didn’t stop trying. Finally, without a warning, I felt that I had lost the feeling of my whole body. Suddenly, I got a feeling that someone, a man, was standing right next to my bed. It was like I lied under my bed and saw a leg taking a step so the person stood next to my bed. I was lying still but suddenly I got a really weird feeling in my body, u know, when u’ve been sitting on your foot too long and haven’t got any blood, it feels like 1 billion ants are crawling on it. The feeling just showed up out of nowhere. I started breathing very fast and it was loong deep breaths. It was a really uncomfortable feeling so I tried to think of something which could make me get lucid. I started focusing on flying and I picture my self flying with my arms out. This didn’t make it any less uncomfortable. I decided to open my eyes, since it was a creepy feeling. As soon as I opened them, the feeling dissapeared but I was all sweaty. I did a RC and it failed, I wasn’t dreaming. I closed my eyes and I decided I wanted to sleep. But suddenly, the feeling came back. But this time it came from the head and it moved down to my chest, when it had reached the chest I made the feeling go away, this time I did it by my mind. I once again closed my eyes and tried to sleep. When I felt really tired and I knew I were close to sleeping the feeling showed up again! I made it dissapear but it was like it wanted me to accept it cause it showed up over and over. I, who thought it was such a creepy feeling, never accepted it. Finally, I decided to just accept it and see what happens, I guess I realised that it could be something awesome! It showed up but in a much smaller version. Finally, I started thinking of other stuffs and I went asleep

Anyone else ever had this who could tell me what it was?

btw, I never heard any noises(except my own loud breathing).

Supersebbe, I read your story and wanted to let you know that you’re not alone - I had almost the exact same experience! I don’t know how much you know about all this LD stuff, but when this happened to me I was completely clueless (didn’t even have LD4all as a reference) so I’m going to over-explain. Hope you don’t mind.

One time I woke myself up out of an LD. My body was tingling all over, so intensely as to make me uncomfortable (ants crawling is a good analogy), but I couldn’t move at all. I was trapped in bed, utterly terrified. I even tried your technique of imagining flying out a window, trying to go back into an LD, but it didn’t work. My eyes were open, staring at the ceiling with a hint of blue comforter at their periphery. Finally, I relaxed enough to fall back asleep and awoke normally.

Afterward, I, too, sought answers online and and found out about sleep paralysis, your body’s defense to stay still and not hurt itself while your brain acts out dreams. When you’re brain thinks it’s dreaming but you’re awake, SP is sometimes accompanied by visual or auditory hallucinations, like the man approaching you, and it’s often scary. Since then, I’ve experienced SP every time I WILD (it’s how you stay conscious while entering a dream - you’re on the right track!). Sometimes the vibrations feel like they’re going to tear me apart, other times they’re mild and pleasant, but I go with the flow and don’t let it scare me anymore. As you’re entering a dream it’s easy to break out of SP, which means you have to start all over again.

To enter my dreams I exit my body either by rolling out of bed, sinking into it, or rising above it (which feels like your floating sensation). Which brings me to a rather contentious point - many people I’ve talked to call these out of body experiences. However, I don’t quite know what they mean and can’t quite come to terms with the idea, convinced that it’s all in my head like a normal dream. But if you choose to believe in that, then maybe you were on the verge of an OBE!

Hope this was helpful! Let me know if you have any more questions. I’m by no means an expert, but I like to share my limited knowledge!

Yes it is sleep paralysis. You sometimes feel trapped in your body and cant move. It used to happen to me too when I used to do work where I road in a truck a lot. I would take naps in the back seat and drift in and out a lot. The feeling of someone near the bed was probably just a creepy dream that woke you up mentally and you still couldnt move and felt numb. I believe its alos been suggested to have some kind of link to OBEs. No worries.

too bad I never tried moving :meh:
I tried doing the same thing the night after, and the feeling came back, though, without the mysterious man and it was ALOT milder, but it almost seems like I can make it happen myself. Gonna try it this night for sure

Thanks for the help guys!
