Spinning on my own axis?!?!?!

To my great frustration and after much (albeit half assed) affort I’ve never had a lucid dream but often when I’m lying perfectly awake in bed I will feel myself moving as though I were tilting away from my own body. I have to stress that I have this experience when I am lay down at all times of the day or night and when I am wide awake.
The only time it ever nearly became something significant was one night when I could feel my body rising then being dragged back, rising and being dragged back over and over. Could someone tell me what this is and how I could use it to induce lucid dreaming? Thanks

I always feel the same when Ive gone to the bed and try to sleep . Id also like to know what is it and will it help to become lucid .

I have no idea, but it sounds kind of relaxing to me. :eh:

First time I see a mention of this.

I have those to. I guess it can be used to easily induce dreaming, by attempting to control those feelings (You can get into SP and from there, the way is open)

I always had them kind of feelings, every night for 17 years now  . To me it feels as I’m floating on a boat. It’s relaxing too. But it don’t help with the Lucid Dreaming.

I believe I’ve had a similar feeling. Like my bed is rocking back and forth, and I’m slowly rising… Never went anywhere, though.

I usually feel like I’m falling backwards (head first)… Like that chair in Sweeney Todd!

sounds to me as thought this is the feeling of your astral body disconnecting from your physical and i don’t think it will help with LDing but if you would like to have and OOBE this is probably a good start

I usually feel that I’m spinning with huge speed to the left on my own axis. It feels like i’m in a really quick roller coaster and my head and all would want to go with the flow. But for me it’s not distracting, it’s more like fun.

I think these feelings are a natural part of falling asleep. It might have to do with hormones, because I get this stuff when I’m on Nitrous Oxide at the dentist’s office. From a feeling of falling back through the chair, to rapid spinning, to this weird feeling like my head is one of those springy doorstops.

I sometimes feel the falling back through the chair thing.
I also sometimes feel like i’m being moved back and forth (about 1.5 ft, = 45cm), and sometimes other people think i’m ill when I describe this to them - maybe so at that time, but I doubt it would do that.

Edit: Goodnight! It’s ten to one in the dark hours, so I think I better reach for this laptop’s off-switch…

This sensation happens alot with me when i am attempting wild!
Its almost always as far as i get though.
