SSILD Tips; and Motivation

I have been trying SSILD lately and I was wondering if anyone had any helpful tips to make SSILD more effective. And are there any other things that I can do with SSILD other than WBTB.

Also I have been having trouble with motivation lately as well. Not when it comes to my DJ or ND’s, but when it comes to LD’s. I have a DJ and I keep it updated every day and I am very excited about it. But when it comes to LD’s I lose motivation, Sometimes I dont even think about LD’s at all, Just ND’s and my DJ. I set and alarm every night for 2:30 and 5:00. I always plan to do either SSILD or WILD when I wake up but almost every night I wake up, shut the alarm off, and go back to bed. Sometimes I start to do SSILD but I immediately fall asleep. Do you have any tips to help me with this, I want to change it. I am always really motivated during the day and when I am going to bed about LDing, but I have trouble when it is actually time to try.

PS. When I was writing this I was thinking,“I only ever post in the Quest for Lucidity section, I cant wait until I am able to post in the Lucid adventures section.”

Well, I’ve tryied SSILD a few times and i got 1 wonderful results : 3 ld’s in a row !
How? Just a wake back to bed of 50minutes.

It’s quite hard to take time for WBTB but it’s worth it!
You should problably look into that.

You could possibly set an alarm that has your voice saying that you will lucid dream. This way, when you shut the alarm off…

Ok. Make a first alarm that will wake you up to shut it off.
Then, make a second alarm that is much more quiet a few more minutes after that. This will be the alarm that says that you’re lucid dreaming. You shouldn’t wake up, but subconsciously, you’ll understand it!

@Dragonmind, That is a great idea, thanks. I am going to try to put more effort into staying up for WBTB and then SSILD but on nights when I am really tired and I’m like, I’m just going to go to sleep tonight I’m to tired, I am going to try this. Thank you for the idea.
