Staring at a clock for 24 hours....

Ive allways wanted to try something like that to see if it would effect my time perception, or if time would speed up after Im finished being fully aware of time. I think it would deffinatley do something. Maybie Ill try it for two hours this weekend, what do you think it would be like.

Im a bad speller.

Interesting. I think it would take much longer than 24 hours to have any significant impact though.

heh, good luck if you do do that! interesting idea, but doesn’t sound very fun…

I think you’d bore the shiz out of yourself :content:

naaa, you will not succeed, you will get bored at a hour or two, if you make the 24 hours, I think you’ll go straight to the Guiness book (and then to the psychiatric hospital)

It would just drive me nuts… I think I would only last 15 min. I can’t even watch TV for 1/2 an hour… unless its something interesting, my attention will just fall over.

good luck with it though!!

it lets you subsconsciously always know what time it is for a few minutes if you stare at one for about 15 minutes… if you could do it for 24 hours you may be able to fully train yourself to know through intuition what time it is.

I don’t think you need to there is a thread somewhere about instinctively knowing what time it is…I can do it, just routine, I think… though my “routine” is far from strict because of insomnia, work, kids, etc…

That sort of relates to WILD in a way. Focusing on one thing for a long time could improve your WILDing skills. It’s an interesting thought.

What if you were to stair at a clock for 1 minute for every night you dont have a LD? You could add a minute everynight, but you cant start over untill you have a LD, and while you do it say to yourself, I am lucid dreaming. I guess that would be TILD, Time induced lucid dreaming.

ok, im going to start now

and stop now, ok 5 minutes has gone and its not even starting to get boring and time seems to be going so fast.

hey seeing as its my birthday tomorrow(13th) i could use this method to pass the time

I’ve only managed to do it for 8hrs, all at night.

I think that If you were good enough at meditating and detaching yourself from your environment, and if you had good concentration you might just be able to do it without going crazy. I know that proper Buddhist monks that have been training all there lives at meditating can meditate/ concentrate about one thing for 20 hours.

If you could concentrate like that you might manage it, but I think your main problem would be sleep.

I have to say, just to reach the 20h stage you’ll need to train for your whole life. Just so you can waste another 24 hours of your life staring at a clock for no reason. I’d think you’d have to be pretty crazy to start with.
