So first some background info, learned about Lucid Dreaming about a year ago but never really committed to it. Now after seeing Inception I have reignited my interest.
I started 2 days ago, and have started a DJ. First night I only remembered one dream, but then the second night it sky rocketed to seven! Not sure if it was seven or if some of them were actually just one dream, but they were all something different. The difficulty I am having is remembering to do RC while awake, and when trying to sleep I try to repeat to myself “I will Lucid Dream tonight” or “I will remember my dreams” but I either lose my focus and forget to and I am unable to fall asleep.
Also I have been just recording what happens in my dream, am I just supposed to do this or do I need to look for any specific details or something?
Well as the masters would usually say, welcome to the forum
I too am in your position. the first few days i did lots of RC’s during the day then they started to dwindle… it gets hard to remember. You should try to look for signs, but build up a good few dreams first so you can look for a pattern. Like lately i’ve been dreaming about school, that could be a sign!
Just repeat the mantra’s until you get tired, then stop and go to sleep
Sounds like your doing everything right, just gotta remember too keep up the RC’s isn’t it hard though lol
Welcome to ld4all Wonderbread. Hopefully everyone here can help you in your quest to LDing.
It sounds like we’re both in the same kind of situation, (sort of) as I have also just got back to the whole LDing process. The only difference is that I’m back into it because I actually had a really short LD and I want to experience it again.
Also, on recording dreams I find that writing as much as you can about the dream is the best thing to do and if you can, I think adding details is good, but I find that it’s really time consuming to describe everything in the dream, so it’s up to you.
Thanks for input
I read somewhere that you should fall asleep with your last thought being about lucid dreaming. Hopefully I can work on remembering to do more RC.
Hello, I’m also new in LDing but I know some things for sure.
The things you need for remembering the RCs are perverance and really wishing to have a LD. It makes diference if you only would like to have a LD and to really want it. You have to think about LDs all through the day, and that way you’ll remember to do your RC. In fact there are some RC really easy to do and to remember, for example, if you have a watch, you are in advantage, because that way, everytime you check the hour you’ll remember to do a RC, checking the hour twice. Remember that in dreams hour is constantly changing. RC are hidden in daily actions. When you enter a room, turn the light switch on and off 2 times, light switchs in dreams usually do not respond. Another thing I do is that always I do a RC, I say to myself: well, this is not a dream, but if something odd happens, for sure I will be dreaming.
I will be posting my own lucid dreaming technique guide, because everyone is different and it is good to always have different starting options.
