I was in a really deep sleep one mornin, and I had just woken from noise outside my door. I got up and was leanin sideways, eyes open, but feelin lethargic and disoriented, and I had a view of the rest of the bed, and my room. But then suddenly my vision split into 4, then into 8, then into 16, etc into an infinite lil “frames” or “tv screens” of my vision, and I said/thought (can’t remember) a sentence in English that would make no literal sense. I quickly sobered up, though, like in 2 seconds. This was very strange, as I never have experienced anythin like this before, although it somehow reminded me of my early childhood - somethin reminiscent of bein a baby. This strange incident really puzzled yet intrigued me, and I was guessin that I was probably in an extremely intense dream (which I sadly cannot remember), and that when I woke up, my brain still hadn’t fully metabolized the DMT in it. DMT is a chemical that your brain produces when you are born, when you die, and durin some vivid dreams; it is one of the most powerful psychedelics known to man. I was surprised that this happened, though, as it would normally seem that the brain should be back in the “real world” state by the time you open your eyes.
I have woken up with my eyes open a few times. Once I thought the wall was the ceiling, once vision spinning. Quite odd experiences. But very quickly fading.
I think I know that feeling of “being a baby”. I have that sometimes on the verge of sleep. I don’t relate it directly to being a baby but it reminds me of, being sung to by my mother very softly. Although I don’t remember that happening I’ve had that feeling now and again since like, forever.
As for DMT, there is a topic on it in General Lucid Dreaming. I hadn’t though about it but as I’ve read, psychedelic experiences often remind people of their childhood.
I had a really strange occurrence yesterday. I was at work and decided to do a reality, so I plugged my nose and tried to breath in, I couldn’t but when I asked myself if I was dreaming, the room started spinning, I had to just stand there for about five seconds just so I wouldn’t lose my balance. Then I got a headache.
i had a wierd experince i woke up and couldnt see very well so i did 4 reality check and none worked also the feeling you have in dreams wasnt there so i got up and ran into a wall i turned right ran into a wall the first 3 steps and so on until i realized i was in a 6 by 4 closed space with no way to get out i was freaken out and started screamn and banging on the walls but no one came so i either pasted out or fell asleep but when i came to i was 10 ft from my bed on the floor and there was no 6 by4 closed wall around me
I have never experienced this but sometimes my vision would get blurry with this gold spots in my way(?). Probably because I got up too fast from sitting down…
I woke up from a vague dream–I couldn’t remember it, but I had that sense of just KNOWING that I’d been dreaming. I opened my eyes and all of a sudden I noticed the room was spinning and I saw this weird image of my cat’s face on my wall! I felt dizzy and not completely awake. I wasn’t in SP though, because I could move; I ended up reaching frantically for my little lamp switch so I could turn on the light so it might wake me up a little. As soon as light flooded my room I felt awake again, but it was pretty weird when it happened!
Wow, that sounds scary… I’ve never heard of four reality checks failing at the same time, but you must’ve been dreaming, I can’t imagine any other explanation… Weird.
I once was going about my regular day, when I saw a bright light. It was coming through my window, and I realized I was awake. I was about 3, which is why I still have no idea if I was dreaming before, or had been dreaming, or was dreaming both was, etc.
I’m also still scared I’ll wake up tomorrow and be 3! gasp
i Know exactly it didnt feel like i was dreaming. it had the essence of waking life, but then were the heck did the walls come from?? im insane! lol jk
anyway
i had another weird experience, you know how some people sleep with there eyes open? well i think i did that once. i woke up sitting up on a couch. then im like wait i dont remember opening my eyes, felt like i was just staring into the blackness for eternity. felt like i was just THERE. and now just realizing it.
maybe thats what its like to lose your memory, idk. weird tho
P.S this is dogg. got a new account
