It took me a while to notice the pattern for some reason, but after the last two lucid dreams it was obvious. The first one I was walking outside on some field when there was a giant plane moving the sun, I immediately became lucid. I then (naturally for some reason) went to the room in which I was sleeping by means of (well you think of a better word) mental teleportation. Everything went black, and I woke up.
The next lucid dream was in the same night (like, I think it was straight after). I became lucid after talking to Dumbledoor (lol’d, I saw HP the other day) about taking DNA from trees and planting it in a human. Apparently I did this to myself and I had wood growing inside of me. But that wasn’t why I became lucid. I became lucid when I was walking past some primary school down the road from where I live. I felt the side of my stomache and felt teeth, I immediately thought the wood was behind the teeth. I even saw it somehow, and it was like a mouth on the side of me. After that, I did a quick RC “just in case” and I realised I was dreaming. I flew up only to see Minecraft for some reason. I figured “meh, erase that, don’t need it anymore” even though I hadn’t seen it before AFAIK. It vanished and I, yet again, went to the room where I was sleeping.
Everything went black again. It doesn’t matter what room it is, I stay in other places and I’ve woken up by going there if I’m sleeping there before. But this time when everything went black I was scared, and I started spinning. For a second I felt my real life body like I was caught in something, then it faded again and I was back in the room. Except it was tilting, I lunged forward and I can only compare this to that scene in Portal 2 where Wheatley is moving the room Chell was sleeping in (the first scene) - except of course Chell didn’t lunge. Afterwards I made the fatal mistake of closing my eyes to change my surroundings, only to open my real eyes.
Anyway, the point in all that was if I go into the room where I’m sleeping or become lucid in that room, the second I move in there everything will fade to black and I’ll wake up. The second dream in this thread was the only exception. I posted about this before, except I hadn’t noticed the pattern until now.
The easiest solution might seem to be: “don’t go to the room where you’re sleeping then”, but I don’t even think about it. I have no clue why I’d do that. Sometimes I even LD inside of the room I’m sleeping in. Normal dreams aren’t affected by this. It’s so strange.
