Strange wake-up pattern in dreams

It took me a while to notice the pattern for some reason, but after the last two lucid dreams it was obvious. The first one I was walking outside on some field when there was a giant plane moving the sun, I immediately became lucid. I then (naturally for some reason) went to the room in which I was sleeping by means of (well you think of a better word) mental teleportation. Everything went black, and I woke up.

The next lucid dream was in the same night (like, I think it was straight after). I became lucid after talking to Dumbledoor (lol’d, I saw HP the other day) about taking DNA from trees and planting it in a human. Apparently I did this to myself and I had wood growing inside of me. But that wasn’t why I became lucid. I became lucid when I was walking past some primary school down the road from where I live. I felt the side of my stomache and felt teeth, I immediately thought the wood was behind the teeth. I even saw it somehow, and it was like a mouth on the side of me. After that, I did a quick RC “just in case” and I realised I was dreaming. I flew up only to see Minecraft for some reason. I figured “meh, erase that, don’t need it anymore” even though I hadn’t seen it before AFAIK. It vanished and I, yet again, went to the room where I was sleeping.

Everything went black again. It doesn’t matter what room it is, I stay in other places and I’ve woken up by going there if I’m sleeping there before. But this time when everything went black I was scared, and I started spinning. For a second I felt my real life body like I was caught in something, then it faded again and I was back in the room. Except it was tilting, I lunged forward and I can only compare this to that scene in Portal 2 where Wheatley is moving the room Chell was sleeping in (the first scene) - except of course Chell didn’t lunge. Afterwards I made the fatal mistake of closing my eyes to change my surroundings, only to open my real eyes.

Anyway, the point in all that was if I go into the room where I’m sleeping or become lucid in that room, the second I move in there everything will fade to black and I’ll wake up. The second dream in this thread was the only exception. I posted about this before, except I hadn’t noticed the pattern until now.

The easiest solution might seem to be: “don’t go to the room where you’re sleeping then”, but I don’t even think about it. I have no clue why I’d do that. Sometimes I even LD inside of the room I’m sleeping in. Normal dreams aren’t affected by this. It’s so strange.

Have you tried any dream prolonging techniques? If you notice that the dream is starting to fade, you should immediately do a dream prolonging method. The best choice is to grab something, hold onto an object or rub your arms. You should feel the textures, so your mind is concentrated on your feelings in the dream world, preventing you from feeling your real life body. If you feel your real life body, you will wake up, so do anything that distracts you from it.

Everything fades so quickly that I wouldn’t have time. I span around and it kept me in there but it’s just confusing why everything fades when I go into the room I’m sleeping in, whereas anywhere else is fine.
