A few months ago, I had a very lucid dream which was fantastic and only encouraged me to pursue further lucidity in my future dreams. Since then, when I have been able to reach lucidity I have become stuck within the dream. There are so many things that I want to do (fly, meet spiritual guides, become an animal, ride a dragon and become in touch with my higher self) but my subconscious won’t let me do anything. I am stuck in the existing dream I’m in and stuck on the same plane. I tell myself what I want, I even call out for it- but nothing happens. I end up just walking around, even getting so bored that I end up loosing clarity and lapse into normal dream state.
I want to lucid dream so bad, it’s all I want. That may be the problem with it. Last night in my dream, my friend (or at least my subconscious’s projection of her) alerted me herself that I was in a dream. As if even my subconscious wants to tell me I’m in a dream and wake me up to lucidity. Also, FYI The dreams aren’t scary at all and I never feel any fear.
Has anyone else ever experienced this? Or anything like it?
Yeah, I’m stuck in the same situation. The only time I’ve had any degree of control over the dream itself was in an FLD, and, even then, I wasn’t really thinking much about what I was doing.
You’re both lucky IMO I tend to wake up too soon and can’t do much in the dream. I guess both ends of the spectrum are a problem… I’d say it’s a matter of practice, just keep trying to do the same thing until you find a way. Many dream powers I’ve had to try a few times before getting results.
Say you choose to work on flying first. Jump up in the air superman style, yell out “I want to fly!” or “I’m flying!”. Try to flap your arms like wings. If none of that works, try jumping off the roof of a house and try to glide with your arms open (I do that one a lot). Worst case scenario try to get up on the roof of a building and just jump off. Or you can try a trampoline, jetpack, magic carpet, ask a wizard for help. And if you ever get even a little result, keep trying and I’m sure you’ll get better. Belief helps a lot too and try not to over think it. Try letting your emotions guide you, focus on the joy you imagine flying feels like.
Just some ideas, good luck! (if you do have any tips on how to get stuck in the dream, let me know! )
