Well, I can sleep much better while on my belly, but say I end up getting one of those sexual dreams, err… Any way I don’t hurt my sensible parts? If you know what I mean.
Moved from Quest for Lucidity since it’s not about inducing a lucid dream, but a more general sleep and dream related question
hmm, i suppose that you’ll automatically turn over, on your side, or on your back, doesn’t really matter, but i don’t think that you’ll be laying in that position the whole dream
I don’t know how this works for guys but for girls…
SP stays, also when you are having a sexual dream. I checked this many times by waking myself up while still in my dream to compair my real body with my dream body. The same as any other normal or lucid dream, you can move and do whatever you want and your real body won’t move at all. I’m not sure when your body turns over in your bed, maybe after each REM, when you wake up without being aware…
SP isn’t fail proof. I’ve injured myself and others by acting out random dream actions (such as punching my brother in the back when we were staying at a hotel. In the dream I was pushing him off a dock…).
I’m sure if you need to roll over, either your body will let you or you’ll wake up.
ahh my friend. SP only occurs in REM sleep. But the time when most sleep disorders occur such as sleep walking and sleep talking is deep Delta sleep. Here Sp doesn’t occur. Most of the vivid dreams occur in REM, the body will always turn itself to its natural position (not the position you want to sleep in but the way the body wants to sleep.) , you can find what this is by checking what position you are in when you wake up without moving.
If its a dream that was really vivid then you were in an REM period.
BTW you wake up after every single REM period, thats every 90 minutes. But you don’t always remember
I guess the short answer to OP’s question is don’t worry about it. Even if you are in an unusual position, it’s highly unlikely you would be able to cause any damage at all. It’s just like a sexual ND, and I’m sure you’ve survived those OK. If you are in a state your body doesn’t want you to be in, your natural reflexes will take over and you will wake up. But again, it’s not something to worry about.
SP doesn’t have to be scary at all, it’s only how you perceive it. There have been several dreamers here who claim to have turned the HH during SP into a sexual thing. It’s a natural function of the body, and HH is a natural function of the mind. It’s only worth fearing if you choose to fear it
