Tell me if this is weird or what...

My friend and I were talking about Lucid Dreaming the other day. She brought up that when she uses her strobe light and spins around in circles to a slow song, she always gets LD’s because she said after doing that and going to bed, in her dream she randomly says: “I’m dreaming!” for no reason…then she gets into a LD…weird or what? lol

hmmm… did it just happen or is it something she trained her self to do?

well, it happened a few weeks ago but i just decided to post it now lol. She didn’t train herself either which is the weird thing…its happened 4 times in 2 weeks.

Can be part of auto-suggestion, like that song triggers her subconsciousness. Although I’m not sure.

 i’m for sure going to spin in circles before i go to bed!

its not the same song she said tho…just anything calm really lol…and whats auto suggestion? and i’m also gonna try it! just need a strobe light now…haha

here you go !

thx! thats sick lol i never knew you can get those online

maybe just blinking your eyes fast is enough?

could be worth trying , an AP forum designed a blinking method to put you into trance quickly,

whirling dervishes spin in circles for a long time as a way to connect to God

You’re not far from the truth, look for reverse blinking: it’s a tremendously effective way to fall into trance, tried it myself with great results.

What am i supposed to do what that? Just sit and watch the flashing light?

You could always suppose you have a disco in your room and starting making random dance moves

No really, there are better induction techs out there; she succeeds with this because she associated strobo and spinning in her mind with dreaming; i guess that’s not your case; try something else, it will certainly do you better.

I just happen to have a multi-colored strobe light, and nice speakers! I’ll try this out tonight; I’m not sure why it would cause lucid dreams though. It seems more like trance induction.

EDIT: Can you ask your friend how fast the strobe was? My machine has a speed knob, and I’m thinking perhaps the rate of flashing could have some different effects.

I just found a link about reverse blinking yesterday  Tried it last night but I don’t think it really got me into trance… maybe I’m doing it wrong

This dreamviews guide has it in spades, plus is has loads of other trance/visualization techs.

ummm…i know her strobe light is on pretty fast…a little faster then normal. im not really sure tho…and she said she just puts it on any level but its normally on kinda fast. hope i helped tho!
