telling DCs they are your dream

I was wonedring what happens when you tell them their not real… do they belive you…do they laugh…

Anything can happen really. I’ve read things like: DCs denying it. Some get hostile. Some just don’t care. A lot of people report the DCs becoming robotic and puppet like - like their realism was zapped out of them upon you telling them they are not real.

My DC’s tend to tell me I am having a dream, when they want me to know, so I think mine kind-of know.

Has anyone ever told a DC that and had them reply “No YOU are the dream!”

 oh man, that would be devastating

I bet you 20 bucks if my DC’s were my friends, they would say that
And also, i had a DC that was the friend who got me onto LDing and i was saying to him in one of my LD’s that he was dreaming, trying to communicate with him and he was like “wha…???”
Also you know how if you dive into mirrors in Dreams you can through them, i grabbed my friend as DC and pulled him through the mirror with me a couple times… i have done this with a few of my friends actually, and thats always fun :content:

A similar thing to ask could be “what are you doing/representing in my dream”? It gives cool and deep responses sometimes

I had my first lucid dream last night and considered this, but was scared for some reason… I was fully aware, but just a bit cautious of telling anyone.

I asked a DC of mine that took the form of Madonna but when i became lucid i asked her “What is a dream character?” and she just walked away confused and angry at me at the same time.

I had a lucid dream last night and I told my mom in my dream that she was nothing but my imagination and she just put on a satisfied face and nodded

Yeah, moms seem to be comprehensive in these things. Yesterday, I asked my mom what she represented in my dream (see my DJ) and she gave me a pretty clear and satisfying response :content: .

it’s unpredictable what they will do. they might be happy, sad, angry, indifferent, they may go along with you on your flying adventures or they may grab your leg to prevent you from flying, the may try to drown you or tell you to leave them alone, …
many times also when i said to a DC that i’m dreaming, it replied “i already know”.

I think it depends on how you expect them to react. Let’s say, fo example, you think they will take it passively, then they most likely will. If you think they’ll be violent with you, same thing. So, expect them to be comprehensive. (I wouldn’t want someone I know drowning me because I told him or her it was a dream

…man the drowning doesn’t sound like fun at all lol hmmm… I have a DC show me a RC once, I was astonished, but I was lucid already… still it shocked me :content:

I tend to think my DC’s know that they are in my dream, judging most of there responses, though sometimes they deny it…

They can TRY to drown you, but remember, you can breathe under water in dreams

it was a little all innocent-looking boy who tried to drown me. it was futile to fight, it was like fighting against myself. i ended up losing lucidity and was washed ashore where my friend saved me. then later in the dream i saw a mirror and became lucid again
so umm… beware of innocent looking DCs!

Just last night I had the first chance I ever had to talk with a DC and when I asked him “Am I dreaming” he simply said “yes” which is weird because IRL he quite talkative.

Is it safe to say that DC will respond the way your personality would?

The DC will behave as you expect them to, if you believe they’d act like your personality then they will

well last night I had a lucid dream where i desperately tried to convince my friend in the LD that he was in my dream… I assumed he would at least acknowledge me … sigh… how wrong I was…

…oddly enough I had a following of 30 DC’s who did beleive me :eh:
