I just ordered this sleep mask called Glo to Sleep. It has dim blue lighting focused at the upper part between your eyes. When you wear it and look up at the lights, it is supposed to slow down your brain waves and completely clear your mind, making it incredibly easy to fall asleep. It is basically like meditating, only this makes it much easier. Now I have the worst insomnia recently. Currently it is 5:19 in the morning, and over the last 3 days I have had about a total of 7 hours of sleep. This is due to my simple inability to fall asleep. Now obviously it’s difficult to have lucid dreams…when you DONT SLEEP. This product has gotten many great reviews from reliable sources. Check it out here: Link to commercial site/vendor removed
I will let everyone know how it works once I get it and try it out some.
Oh come on…did the link really have to be removed?? It would help to be able to see the thing. Meanies
It mentions that on the site actually. It doesn’t give off enough light to suppress it. The light is like a glow in the dark thing. You hold it under a light source for 30 seconds before using it, and so the light it gives off is quite dim.
ah. so it doesnt need electricity ? right ? … well , i think i can have that cheaper if i by somewhere a glowing foil and put it on a ordinary sleeping mask… also … this could give you weird dreams of weird things glowing weirdly in the dark … seriously , i think that it COULD help , that thats not so certain …
Well, I got the mask, and it did take some getting used to. Usually it would take me maybe 3 or 4 hours to fall asleep, but with this mask I am typically out within half an hour.
I like it a lot. It’s very comfortable, and blocks out 100% of any other light. After a few minutes of looking up at the lights within the mask, my arms and legs would start to feel heavy, and I would be completely relaxed.
I have tried every sleeping pill known to man, along with every supplement you could think of. I have basically lost all hope until I found this mask. If you have any insomnia issues…this thing will be your new best friend.
One thing that has worked wonders for me lately is to read something boring when I go to bed. This hasn’t always worked for me in the past, though – and I do take medication for anxiety whereas I didn’t in the past, so I think that contributes to my feeling sleepy, too. Another thing – do not take naps during the day. They will KILL your ability to fall asleep at night (I know, that isn’t true for everyone, but it is true for insomniacs!).
