Since you like normal dreams, you will like our stuff of dreams forum too :boogie:

Welcome to the boards, Philip! I’m Aleksandra, or Sandra, whichever you prefer, and I’m a semi-senior member of these boards (meaning I was an active member a few years back, but then forgot all about these boards, and with them, my username and password xD).

:welcome: Elessar! I guess you like Tolkien’s works too. Hope you enjoy the forums :content:

:handshake: TANK Ex Mortis, :handshake: Elessar_Cúthalion.

Have a great time on the forum!

Hi everybody!
Hi doctor Nick
You know, I’ve noticed a lot of animal themed avatars on the board. Yep…lots of animal themed avatars on this forum. Just thought I’d say something.

What a fascinating forum. There is a lot to learn here. I have studied my dreams for many years and get quite a bit of guidance by doing this. I have had a few lucid dreams and out of body experiences and I want to have more.

I can’t wait to dive in and read the threads!

Sweet dreams~

LightSeeker

:handshake: Hey, LightSeeker–COOL avatar :good:

Sorry, I’m a little lazy on posts right now, but really it’s nice to have you on the forum

Hope you enjoy your time–the Playground is nice–Garden of Creation, too. This place has enough to satisfy any and all tastes. So have some fun and chill out with the LD4All gang, eh? :content:

Reminds me of this.

 hello LightSeeker
Firstly I have to say I really loved the image you used in your post - it’s awesome :eh:
But please don’t use it in all of your posts, since it would be too distracting and make the pages slower to load.

… and I can’t wait to read your posts :hyper: I’m sure they will be really interesting.
BTW you will see topics about OBEs in the beyond dreaming forum :obe:

Welcome, LightSeeker and Fiver! I’m confident you’ll enjoy your stay here (I sure am).

I’m…not new.

<rant warning-- that’s how these first post/self-intro things go…>

Hi, I'm new here, as you can see. I came across lucid dreaming and this site after hitting a link in the WikiPedia article for sleep paralysis about a week ago.

I'm mostly rational and boring in classic scientific fashion. Even my sleep paralysis over a year ago reflected this pretty well. Sure, it felt like gravity was pulling down really hard, and I was fairly sure at the time that I was choking to death, but that was it. I figured that's how it felt to be paralyzed anyway and that maybe an allergic reaction was closing up my throat. I wasn't even trying to rationalize it; I just assumed that's what it was. Plus no visions of old hags or aliens or presences of the sort. So that's the kind of boring overrationalizing party pooper I am.

My boring self keeps me from explicitly believing in (semi?)supernatural things like soul projection and shared dreams, but since I keep tons of ideas like that in my head without ever getting around to deciding if they're real or not, I'd be happy to hear stories about stuff like that from you people. So, here's hoping I have a nice time here.

I don’t believe in shared dreaming, OBEs, precog dreams, or anything like that either. It doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy LDs, and I realize that you didn’t say it, but that doesn’t matter because my point makes sense. I think…
Hi new guys (and gals)!

 Hi, yamaha. :welcome: to the forum!

 hello yamaha
Lucid dreaming has been proved scientifically, so at least you can fully enjoy LDs. Plus with your logical mind, you could find it easier to realise that you are in a dream.
And you will find a lot of fun experiences to read about in the various topics on this board.
I’m 100% sure you will have a nice time here
