the big WILD topic [Part VI]

I’ve been upping the frequency of my serious WILD attempts since summer is starting. But no luck, yet. <-----Positive thinking :content:

Anyway, if I sleep on my side I fall asleep way to fast and on my back I never fall asleep. So any suggestions on ways to keep me conscious longer on my side or to sleep on my back? I usually try the counting thing; 1 I’m dreaming, 2 I’m dreaming. . .

Any other ideas out there? After lying on my back for 40 minutes I wasn’t numb or experiencing vibrations.

yea i have the same problem canadian. I think im just going to try to sleep on my side and practice staying awake, thats my best bet i think.

I have a question also, does it matter what time you nap during the day, could you try at like 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm and still enter the dream? or will it be like going to sleep for the first time?

I guess I’ll try that too unless someone with more experience comes thru and blows us out of the water with better advice.

I’m not sure about the nap question though, I can’t get to sleep in the afternoons  This semester I only had 2.5 classes so I could have had a nap everyday and I did try a lot of days but no success with LDs or even getting to sleep.

Hi!

I’d like some experts to say how far I am actually in getting to a WILD.

The strange thing, is that I only can have some succes, when going to sleep for the first time (no WB2B). So: first question: how far is it possible to WILD at night? I think it is possible, because I really have the idea that I am going towards dreaming when trying to sleep. To show you how far I am, I will explain what happened yesterday night (my best attempt until now)

When I tried to relax, at first I got some trembling in my eyelids. After that, I could feel my heart beating, mostly around my ears and in my face. Those two things alway happen in the first few minutes, but soon start to fade away.

Then, I rolled my eyes a bit upwards, like described in the suneye method. I alway do that, until I get a feeling at the third eye spot, just under my skin (I don’t know if anyone else knows this feeling). After that, I put my eyes in the normal place, and tried to concentrate at the feeling around my third eye. I managed to get it become a bit stronger. During this whole process, I count every breath; at this point I think I was around 200.

Now I started to imagine myself sailing a boat. I controlled the rudder, and the big sail. When the wind starts to gust, I had to hang out of the boat, and steer into the wind to hold it straight. I especially concentrated at the feeling of my legs on the side of the boat, my feet in the ‘hanging things’ and my hands holding the rudder and the ‘sail adjusting rope’ (don’t know the english words for those things)

When doing that, eventually I got into something like what they call ‘the vibrations’. But it wasn’t very strong , and started to fade away very soon. After that, I rolled over and went into normal sleep. Had a bit difficulty getting into sleep. When I finally got to sleep, I woke up in a short SP (didn’t get control of it  )

Well, thats all. So can anyone tell me, how close I actually am?

Thanks in advance,

JJJ

Last nite I almost WILDed. I felt myself getting paralysed, after 2 waves of strong (almost painful) vibrations. But as soon as I was really in SP, I very suddenly woke up :eh: … What do you people do to hold on to the SP?

JJJ

i concentrate on the hypnagogoic sound (buzzing) or i generate a mental falling experience by visualising that i’m gaining distance to a virtual object.
