The coolest thing you have ever felt in a LD

Hi all, I am new here, and this is my first post.
I have been into LD for a while now and have had several amazing dreams, but last night was by far the best one I have ever had. The reason is so simple it is kind of silly, I felt sand for the first time in a dream with my feet. I dug around in the sand and focused on the feeling of the sand between my toes. It was just amazing, its hard to describe, it was like I could feel every single grain of sand, it was just spectacular.

Which leads to my question, what is the most amazing thing you have ever felt (on a tactile level) in a LD?

well i cant say cause i havent had an ld… making progress tho. but i just wanted to say that sounds amazing… i never really thought of things like that? experienceing something youve never experienced before. you might say thats like flying… but you cant fly in realy life. you got me thinkin of even more stuff to do in an LD… anyway congrats  and welcome to the forums :content:

Well I’ve only had 2 lucid dreams in my entire life, but having and controlling two separate bodies simultaneously was pretty cool…

eniacpx, that sounds amazing. I know what you mean, though ,you dont have to explain. some things are better just being felt.

Um, best thing… I’m not sure. I’ve felt all the usual stuff (textures, the floor, walls etc) and I’ve felt odder stuff (like putting one hand through the palm of the other).

One of the more strange things I’ve felt in a dream was when I put one of my hands through the other hand. I could feel the hand moving inside my other hand, it was a interesting feeling

My favoured feeling is breathing through my nose with my fingers holding it shut. It’s very… odd. It’s also a bit of a shock when I’ve done it as an RC…

Walking through mirros and breathing under water are very cool feelings. Perhaps the coolest thing I have touched is a cloud. I was sleeping on top of a cloud and it felt very cool. I had to keep myself from falling through it.

feeling rain and snow was really amazing to me. In a high level LD it seems like my tactile sensation is even more sensetive than during waking state.

hmmmm… tough choices.

Feeling my hands was pretty amazing. But I’d have to say touching a soft leaf pine tree.

I haven’t had many lucid dreams, but whenever im bored or having to stay in a position for a while, I just go inside my mind. If you’ve ever read Hannibal, you’ll know about Lecters memory palace. I’ve kinda made something like that and I’ll just wander around that touching and looking at things. A cement fountain, the marble floor, and an old beaten up leather chair are my favourite things to touch.

thats it, tonight when i go lucid im gonna have the best time ever. yall wait and see…

That sounds interesting but I have no idea what it means. You mean you walk around in your head and look at things or touch them? How exactly does that work, like just a day dream or something?

The most amazing thing was probably the alien I met in a LD several years ago. I guess I had been watching too much scifi. It was made of water-like energy and it was transparent.

The first wonderful feeling I experienced was the feeling of the air against my face while flying at an incredible speed. Then breathing through my nose while holding it shut. Then feeling the surface of walls. And finally 2 days ago, I stepped through the mirror, and I got the feeling of being stuck inside a giant cold gelatine-like material.

Kinda like a day dream, but I just get more into it and try and forget whatevers around me so that im almost entirely in my head. Its awesome. I have this whole place built where I can walk around and look and touch all the things I put in there. Rooms full of whatever I want.

Emotional things are for sure the coolest aspect of my LDs so far, but on a tactile level… I think it is the feeling of speed. I only experienced it one time:

I was flying, but not in a relaxed way looking down like I usually do. I was flying very very close to the ground, along some road. The road was very straight, but going over some little hills. I flew head first, arms to the sides of my body, rocket style. I went up and down with the street over the hills, and allthough I perfectly well knew that I am dreaming I still didn’t dare to lower my arms even a little bit, for fear my hand might touch the ground.

most of my dreams, ld’s or otherwise, are just stimulating my vision. all other senses are usually dead in my dreams. there are exceptions, but they are quite rare(sucks to be me, doesn’t it…).

i do however, remember one nd i had a good couple months ago. that was one of the few dreams ive ever had where my sense of touch was stimulated. basically, i was just lying on a gymnastics mat, close against a girl from my class last year at school. i didnt move a muscle, but just stayed there, feeling warm and cozy, almost euphoric. best bit was that we were both naked in that dream…

that dream there would have to be the single most important dream i can remember, as far as dream stimulation goes.

  • Running almost naked in autumn forest and feeling fallen branches, and stuff under my bare feet.
  • Feeling electricity flowing through my body.
  • Flying throught the closed window.

I have felt more, but those are more outstanding for me so far.

Man, i went lucid, but forgot to do it

But I would have to say putting my hand on my driveway while sitting and enjoying the surroundings. I want to have cooler ones, which was my plan. I’ll do it tonight, I know I will.
