The Dream Man

Some time ago someone sent me a link for a strange website about a guy people supposedly saw on their dreams. Apparently people all over the world saw the guy on their dreams, with no apparent pattern.

He looked like Shaq, the basketball player, and some other information on the site made me quite skeptical about it, like some references to a movie he made or a videogame. I thought it was a big fat joke so pretty much forgot about it. And it seems it really turns out to be a joke, except there’s this other site.

Today, someone sent me another site with a similar layout and a similar name. But it wasn’t the same guy. I was a bit freaked out, so I got a WhoIs service to check it out and, as suspected, the second site (thisshaq) was created around 20 months AFTER the original one (thisman).

I’m not sure if I can link the sites, but still the one about the strange white man seems to be getting a lot of attention. And I’m much more inclined to believe he is possibly real, too. Ideas?

I notice he has a lot of similarity to the little dancing man from Twin Peaks’ Red Room (a dream place), as seen here -> youtube.com/watch?v=05xm2eN- … re=related

I think that it might simply be a scam to freak people out. Both websites could have been created by the same person in order to trick people into believing that there is a “dream man” that can invade dreams.

Possible…

But I’m thinking the second site is pretty much a joke about the first. After all, it’s Shaq… and there are references to his game, movie, and some strange drawings in the portraits area.

Also, the Shaq one uses Google Ads, so he’s actually making some money, while the other isn’t.

I remember reading about this man too at some other forum. But frankly, that guy is quite ordinary looking. It can be anybody. I seriously it is some sort of an attention grabber.

My theory is that it is a Psychological test. What if by people seeing this man and believing that he would appear in their dreams, would he?

Some guy at my work said he read about it. It seems it’s really something some people came up with in an university to test the effects of suggestion on dreams.
