I was doing a survey earlier in the lucid lab, and it got me thinking.

i know i have, but has anybody else changed their gender in an LD?
if so, does it start the dream as the opposite sex, or do you change it yourself.
how often does ti happen to you?

Last night it happened to me for the first time, and i was freaked out because a Dc i was talking to called me a she, so i looked at myself and saw i was a girl! :eek:

I cant tell if Im a female from start of dream, but this doesnt freak me out, its rather relaing :content:

Hasnt happened often. I hopes this happens again :mrgreen:

yeah, i knod of agree, i kind of like it for the experience.

also, when you dream of being opposite gender do you still have the same horomones? or the ones of the new gender

:hmmm: honestly I dont know, these dreams tend to be very short, but long enough to get fascinated that Im in opposite gender :content:

No, it never happened to me, but I WILL try it for sure when I remember it.

nd thats just one way a dream like that can go.

that is gonna give me nightmares tonight :hide:

I’ve had three dreams in which I was the opposite gender, but only one was deliberately in an LD.

I hardly noticed it, really. Which seems a little odd to me, but to be honest I do have a knack for ignoring important things :tongue:

I’ve had a handful of dreams where I’m female, but never in a LD.

Usually I know I’m female in the dream, but it doesn’t hit me with the “Wait a minute…” reaction until I’m up and thinking about the dream.

From the scraps of the dreams I can remember, the DC’s never treated me any differently than in dreams where I’m my actual gender. The one I linked to is the only dream I recall where there was any reference to me being female.

That makes me wonder if you change it during a LD, if the DC’s would react differently after the switch? If so, I wonder if their behaviour would be consciously altered, or if it would be a subconscious change.

I have been male in two dreams, but think both were before i rejoined LD4all. Only one was lucid.

In the first dream, i danced with a girl and ended up in a fight on the way home. My body felt and reacted very different from in real life.

The second time, in a LD, i “shifted” into a strong, male body to push boulders off a road and rescue somebody. This time, i only felt more physically strong.

There has been many dreams where i have seen the scenes from two POVs at once, a male and a female. It has felt like i have had a twin brother with me. If the dream gets lucid, i have usually seen it only from my POV and seen the twin brother as a separate DC.

Well, I’m a transguy so this is pretty normal for me.

ND: 50% of the time I’m female, 50% male
LD: less than 10% female, over 90% male

Been changing my sex ever since I was a toddler because it never felt right and just seemed like the natural thing to do.

This has never happened to me but I’ll remember to try it in my next LD. Sounds interesting though I’d probably start feeling myself up :lmao:

Ahahaha, I switch between genders in ND’s sometimes. I’ve also had dreams where I had no gender specified my reproductive organs (because… I had none). I remember in one dream I was myself, but I carried my detachable male parts in a velvet lined case. XD (That one cracked my boyfriend up when I told him.)

I don’t find it strange at all really, I’ve always been treated as one of “the guys” because of my aggressiveness, foul mouth, and boyish behavior…and the guys are often teased that I’ve got more then they’ve got. XD

I am completely and utterly female though.

I actually have a lot of transguy friends and that’s an interesting question. I’ll have to ask them.

Forgot to mention the time I was both at once. :razz: I was some kind of demon that was both male and female. That was pretty strange. I didn’t really hate the form either. It was a very relaxing dream actually.

I have only been male in a ND. Interesting setting though of being an idol (think Egypt) and on a pedestal in the middle of a room with water filled with crocodiles around the dais and women trying to swim their way to me and mostly being eaten.
