We don’t have our priorities straight. Especially here in the U.S., but its everywhere on earth. We build useless junk that people throw away as soon as they get bored. We build millions of cars that die in 10 years and add to all sorts of problems including traffic, traffic deaths, pollution(air and land). What happens to all those cars when they die?? Alot of them sit in open lots gathering rust.
We don’t care about the people who are in most need. Those people don’t have food, clean water, or even housing. Think of the intelligent minds we could save. Our governments battle each other for superiority with no regard to anyone else. People go around bombing each other because of moral or spiritual differences, when really we are more the same then anyone could ever think.
We destroy the environment with no regard to our longterm survival. People are killing themselves because they are destroying natural processes that keep us alive. The best thing in the world is that basically everything we do, nature has a cure for. We are not nearly researching enough about our natural environment. The U.S. government wastes billions of dollars on technologies that are way out of date. They even resist the new technologies that give promise to cure some of the wrongs in the world. It took privately funded folks in cheap crafts to get to outerspace. Public action is always the best.
We have hardly even touched our world. 75% of the world is covered in water. Our world is a water world. It was wrongly named earth. We won’t run out of the stuff, even though some politicians may want you to think so, but they do nothing to make for clean water for us. The ocean compromises 99% of living space on earth. It is the largest habitat in the world. There are vast amounts of marine creatures, many of which we have never seen. We discovered many amazing things when we got down there. Hope for life on other planets because we found organisms not dependant on the sun.
People always get pissed off when they get laid off, but if governments of countries with the money would focus their efforts somewhere else we would have a surplus of jobs available. We have so many problems in this world yet no one takes the initiative to correct them. I try to but it comes down to a lack of money and being able to get my voice out. The sad truth is that people with money have the power. Technology is good, it won’t destroy the world and if we won’t die if we lose it. We are mostly intelligent beings and can cope with extreme changes. Please care about something besides what celebs are doing, or what political party you are going to vote for. Please, become informed. I meet so many people who are totally blind to these problems, or even think that it isn’t true. Heck, there was a rumor going around the internet that Mars would be so close it would visible to be the size of the moon. If you knew anything at all you would know that was false, or even that Mars already came its closest in 2003. It makes me sad sometimes to see that we may just kill ourselves before we have the chance to get off earth or make a real difference.
I feel the same way.
People just never learn…no matter what.
Just add the fact that we allow media to be filled with all kinds of violence, people getting murdered and abused in every possibile way, wars are transmitted live- this all during the white day for everyone including kids to be watched, while people making love or just being simply naked are the topics restricted and controversial.
Like seeing womans nipple is something that will destroy young man
s mind when seeing tortured people will make him “more sensitive” or something.Sick.
I don’t have a problem with violence in the media, or even sex for that matter. We really shouldn’t care, because they are both a part of life. We shouldn’t show people being killed or graphic sex acts because kids may watch. But, the parents are one of the problems when it comes to kids. They should be taught about sex and violence early on so they know what is right or wrong. People have done exastive studies on this stuff and it doesn’t cause adverse side-effects. If people were just informed, it wouldn’t be a problem. If kids know what the problems are, they might even want to correct them. Heck parents are the best people to have brainwash kids. Just look at the wacko religious people who destroy the good things in life because they see them as evil.
SignalRed… I agree. I think everyone needs to do at the minimum one thing to repay nature or rebuild it.
My good deed to nature. I don’t litter and I’m pesky to those who are with me when they try and throw something on the ground like trash.
I agree completely.
It just peole are too weak minded and scared to do anything.
