The Red Book

Hey folks – I had this dream a few weeks ago that made an impression on me, in which I was at a technical university studying the mechanics of dreaming. At the bookstore, I picked up a large red book, which was held to be the masterwork in the field. All I remember was that it was a large, red book.

Anyway, after waking, I googled up Red Book and found Jung’s Red Book (which had been hidden away for half a century) – and it fit the bill pretty well. So, for any who are interested here’s the link to the full book, with all the pretty pictures and everything. Here’s another link with a short introduction to the book.

Nice!

I haven’t read Jung’s “Red Book,” but it’s been recommended to me.

I once had a dream of being in a bookstore and found a copy of “In Search of the Miraculous” by Peter Uspenskii.

I’d seen “In Search of the Miraculous” on shelves before, but had never picked it up. Curiously, when I checked out the book later, in real life, the author’s named was spelled “Peter Ouspensky.” (“Uspenskii” was a spelling, I found out, used in earlier editions of the book that I’d never seen.)

Good ole’ dreams steering us toward the right books.
