This happened sometime probably last week am not too sure. So i was having a train dream (several different dreams happening one after the other without waking up that are somewhat linked) and i came to a point where i had a FA and was lying in bed, i allowed it to happen cause i was finishing up my session. Then suddenly a dark man of a solid shadow nature slipped through my door(which was half open) and came over me in one smooth move and then pummeled his right hand around my throat. Immediately i went to another part of the train (intermission was darkness and song in background) and had another FA in bed. This time my father was on the bed beside and he too was of shadow nature. He turned on his side to me and grabbed my throat, choking. At that point i got so frightened i woke. I really want to know why that happened. There is no way those dreams can be explained as normal, they held some sort of meaning.
I don’t want to say definitely, but this sounds exactly like the usual effects of sleep paralysis, which can sometimes “seep” into dreams. Read about the “Old Hag” Syndrome and sleep paralysis. Common hallucinations accompanying sleep paralysis/old hag are people choking you, especially dark figures. I hope this helps.
Oh geez xD, I had a dream today my dad died, and (in the dream) whenever I woke up he’d be at my door side all black, like a shadow and make me lucid. Haha, but he didn’t choke me or anything.
But yeah, I think it’s the ‘old hag’ syndrome solpic mentioned.
Nah, theyre extremely normal.
“Old hag syndrome”, as previously mentioned, is a very strange phenomenon that you get at stages between being awake and asleep, sometimes at FAs, in which normally a ghost or witch, or some other dark and scary figure sits on you and scares you. I’ve had soooo many of these. A very common feeling is feeling pressure on your front, side, face, or throat, along with very spooky sounds. Also in some people these release a “fear” chemical that makes you feel like you’re about to be eaten, or something along the same lines of fear.
Oh i see thanks for the help.
