The strangest dream...

I had the strangest dream about 2 nights ago. Not in the sense that green tentacles were growing out of a wall, but just…weird.

I was standing in a room, with a bunch of people I thought I knew, but I can’t remember now. I think they may have all been faceless, now that I think about it…Anyhow, in the middle of the room, there were 2 faces I knew. One of them was Daron Malakian, the guitarist from the band System of a Down. The other was Shavo Odadjian, the bassist for the same band. I just watched them for the entire dream…towards the end, they walked out into the street. I followed, Daron said something to me, and I woke up…

Can someone please help me decipher this? It has been dominating my thoughts lately.

Well circus, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but there are far wierder dream hanging around in those forums (and my head, honestly). I’m sure in your head too.

Anyway, the point is, that if you see this dream as strange, it might mean something. Did it feel awkward to be there?

I cannot “decipher” your dream, just like anyone else here, no matter what they tell you: We can only suggest, present guesses and assumptions. It is quite hard to suggest without you giving more info of what you felt, what you have seen, and anything you think might help us give suggestions to you.

My suggestion is:

Your relation to the band is unknown to me, though you probably like them. If that is so, it is strange that the singer, Serj, isn’t in your dream, which suggests that the dream object wasn’t the band itself, but rather the strangeness of that band without the main part of it (It’s face if you will. The dream might have been about facelessness - both your friends and the band) You following them might indicate you want or wanted to be like them a bit (Though I highly doubt it) and might as well mean you like them. It can also relate back to the facelesness, featuring you as a personality less person (But that depends on wether you chose to follow them in the dream, or was bound to)

If indeed you feel it all relates to facelessness, than it might mean you consider yourself a shady, unimportant person (Which is considerably possible, given your age and style of writing), or it might mean you feel everyone around you is hollow except for the “famous” people (Such as band members, which are ultimately hollow too - they haven’t their “face” (lead singer)). Again, it might also mean something completely different - those are just my suggestions.

Hope it wasn’t too much of a rant. Anyway, its always cool dreaming of bands. Maybe next time you’ll hear someone playing - that’s the best.

Wow. That gave me lots of thoughts :eek: I think that the facelessness may have related to how everyone in this day and age is a huge conformist, and they are all the same. The band, well, I do want to be like them…they are awesome :smile:

I think that I was watching them because they stand out to all the bands who copy others, to all the people who see the top-dogs and say “Now I’m gonna try to be exactly like you.”
