The Two Bodies Technique

Recently I’ve read Stephen Laberge’s book “Explore the World of Lucid Dreaming”. One of the techniques he mentions is the Two Bodies Technique. To do this, one should wake up from sleeping about 4-5-6 hours later. The person should then lie still in the position they are in and not move AT ALL. They should focus on different points of their body to feel any tingling or any sensation, which is the signal that they are about to fall into sleep paralysis. Once in this state, the person must not move at all, and stay calm. Now they have two bodies: the paralyzed body, and the dream body, which the person can move with visualization. Without moving their physical body, the person should imagine themselves moving their dream body out of their paralyzed body. If successful, the person can come out of their body(in ways like rolling out, floating out, sinking out) and leave their paralyzed their body behind into a lucid dream. This technique is not to be mistaken with an Out-of-Body experience. It is only an induction technique for lucid dreams, so nothing is actually real-life, but a dream.
For me, it’s pretty easy to get into the sleep paralysis state, but I haven’t tried this technique yet. It sounds like a good simple way to get a lucid dream. Has anyone else tried this?

yes, this is very most powerful

you don’t even need to focus on the physical body you can just use imagination to go into the dreamstate,

it happens effortlessly during certain times in the morning, and other times it would require some effort, and other times it won’t seem to work, and i need to explore that more and see if there is a way to do it anyway.

this is the same as my “90% guaranteed lucidity” thread (a flashy title so people will read it i admit!)

I’ve tried this. The cool part is feeling your dream hand moving and your physical hand touching the bed at the same time  It’s worth giving a try, although it might only work in the “right moment”.

Ok, now I’ve tried doing this several times. I would get into sleep paralysis, but then I would make a mistake. I would try getting out of my body in the middle of the SP, during the rushing noises. This would result in falling back into my body, and making it impossible to try again. Last night, I woke up and allowed myself to go into SP, but this time I waited for all the rushing noises that usually occur to end. Once everything quieted down, I rolled out of my bed. I was in a lucid dream! This was actually pretty easy for me to do once I know how to do everything right, so I’ll be doing this all the time. Plus, it’s easy to chain ld’s using this way.
