Gaaa! craaap…
You removed the wrong post!
[mod]missing post[/mod]
I thaught it would be great with a UE topic. I dont know how manny dudes on the forum are insterested i UE but if anny one of you go UEing bleas share your experinces
(Just so that youknow mozilla crached and i had to rewrite all of this… And the pictures where taken with my cellphone so they are rather crappy)
The Atlas wall
The Atlaswall is a rather cool place located under the S:t Eriks bridge in Stockholm. A lot of streetartists hangaround there.
Anyyway… Me and my to palls first ventured in to this small tunnel/corridor (the open dor in lower right corner). It was quite spooky in the tunnell it was really far to the ceeling and you could hear water beneath the ground and everytime the subway passed by the tunnel shook and made a creepy sound.
After venturing a bit in to the tunnel we found this cavity in the mountain wall. In the cavity there where a little bronze statue of a litlle dude with a gasmask… It creeped me out a bit… We ventured deeper in to the tunnel untill we came to a steep uppwards slope… we didnt feel like continuing because we had pretty insuficent lighting.
After that we went to the other side of the bridge where there is aplace wich looks quite like the atlaswall. We found a open door, the problem was that the door was placed quite high and to get there we had to climb upp on a roof wich was full of birdshit… Inside the room where this coool old machinery… looked like some sort of ventilation system or something… really awsome…
Then after that we climed up a rather long ladder… and then we found this service scaffold beneth the bridge wich ran paralell with the subwaytracks… It was so scary walking on it… it was like 20 meters (60feet) in the air. My pal Kmaffie had a fear of heights so he climbed down again… Me and Mad_Santa walked out on the scaffold untill we where over the water. It was really scary then we went down again.
The Eriksdal Tunnel
The Eriksdal tunnel is this old tunnel wichh used to be used for industrial trains comming from the harbour. but it has ben closed down for a long time.
At first there is a short tunnel wich is kinda cool although. after that one. You walk along the tracks for a while untill you get to another tunnel wich is conected to the rest of the tunnels in stockholm. On the way betwen the two tunnels we went down to the Reggea cafe… wich is really cool place… You shold defintly visit if if you go to stockholm. annyway then we come to the second tunnel … Inside there is Some wierd sort of lights wich has been placed on the wall. After a while the lights stop and everything is completly über dark. We walked a bit but hen Kmaffie got so scared and we decided to go out. the thing was that we had really poor flashlights so we could hardly see anything. The next time we go there i will bring my huge maglite.

It is! Its one of the coolest things i have done in a long time. You should really try it
Is that what it’s called? Anyways, I love exploring cities. Anytime I go to a city with my friends, we always run down random alleys and sometimes into abandoned buildings. I never go to any famous landmarks or anything like that, though. I just love wandering. We are on the same page, right?
That’s funny! In your blog, you should post the photographs (shrinked of course) directly instead of letting a link, don’t you think? It would be more interesting to read.

I dont live too far from Detroit which has many old abandoned buildings and factories which I have explored from the outside on occasion, but I’ve never gone inside any. Perhaps I should sometime…

I wouldnt feel safe doing it…Id be too scared to enjoy myself, methinks. Detroit has the second highest murder rate in America. Only Gary, Indiana has more homicides each year. Detroit is not a pretty place anymore. It used to be back in the 1920s when all the now abandoned buildings were built, but after the riots anyone that could afford to leave left leaving the buildings.
I dont mind going ot detroit for concerts every couple weeks, but wandering back alleys there…doesnt seem a good idea.
